Have you ever experienced the division between you and another? Of course you have! People are always trying to upstage themselves at the expense of another. The experience is upsetting and causes feelings of animosity and ill will toward the offender. This is evil in its truest form. Why? Because evil is about its desires at the expense of another. Unfortunately that other can be you or I. When the act of division and ill will occur, it is essential to offer up a prayer for the person offending. Why? Because this elevates the person praying to a state of grace with our Lord! Then in turn the division will be brought forward to the embarrassment of the offender. If not immediately, eventually. The person who prays is the one blessed of God. For God is peace. He is perfection and through the love of His son Jesus Christ and His teachings we rise to a heightened spiritual realm. Many gifts are of God,but few choose to experience the joy He bestows. Increased spiritual awareness and understanding are manifest when we pray. Unfortunately, when people bare ill will against their neighbor, they bring disharmony into their own life. This causes a chain reaction. The only way to stop this is through prayer. For prayer is of God. When we pray we are removing the ‘wedge’ and promoting peace. That is why Jesus tells us to pray for our enemies. Today we are living in a life of retribution. People are unaware they are doing more harm to themselves, than to the neighbor they originated the sin against! This has caused a downward spiral. To experience the elevated living God offers, we need to do the opposite of evil! PRAY!
Father James McKenna said it best: ‘DO NOT LET ANYONE OR ANYTHING BE THE CAUSE OF YOU LOSING YOUR SOUL’!
IN THE BIBLE, BOOK OF GALATIANS CHAPTER 2 VERSE 21
21)”I will not treat God’s prescious gift as pointless. If justice is available through the law, then Christ died to no purpose!”
