CONVERSION OF SAUL TO PAUL

ACCORDING TO SAUL:ACTS OF THE APOSTLES CHAPTER 26 VERSES 12-18

12″On one such occasion I was traveling toward Damascus armed with the authority and commission of the chief priests. 13 On this journey, Your majesty, I saw a light more brilliant than the sun shining in the sky at midday. It surrounded me and those who were traveling with me. 14)All of us fell to the ground and I heard a voice saying to me in Hebrew,’Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me? it is hard for you to kick against the goad.’ 15)I said, at that, ‘who are you, sir,?’ and the Lord answered; ‘I am that Jesus whom you are persecuting. 16)Get up now and stand on your feet. I have appeared to you to designate you as my servant and as a witness to what you have seen of me ans what you will see of me. 17)I have delivered you from this people and from the nations, 18)to open the eyes of those to whom I am sending you, to turn them from darkness to light and from the dominion of Satan to God; that through their faith in me they may obtain the forgiveness of their sins and a portion among God’s people.’

20)’My son, hold fast to your duty, busy yourself with it, grow old while doing your task.21)Admire not how sinners live, but trust in the Lord and wait for his light; For it is easy with the Lord suddenly, in an instant, to make a poor man rich.22)God’s blessing is the lot of the just man, and in due time his hopes bear fruit.’

God’ Love for Man

In Romans Chapter 8 verses 28-39

Paul writes, 28,’We know that God makes all things work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his decree. 29Those whom he foreknew he predestined to share the image of his Son that the Son might be the first-born of many brothers.30Those he predestined he likewise called; those he called he also justified; and those he justified he in turn glorified. 31What shall we say after that? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32Is it possiable that he who did not spare his own Son but handed him over for the sake of us all will not grant us all things besides? 33 Who shall bring a charge against God’s chosen ones? God, who jusifies? 34Who shall condemn them? Christ Jesus, who died or rather was raised up, who is at the right hand of God and who intercedes for us?’

Indomitable Love for Christ

35 ‘Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Trial, or distress, or persecution, or hunger, or nakedness, or danger, or the sword? 36 As Scripture says:”For your sake we are being slain all the day long; we are looked upon as sheep to be slaughtered.” 37 Yet, in all this we are more than conquerors because of him who has loved us. 38 For I am certain that neither death nor life, neither angels nor principalities, neither the present nor the future, nor powers,39neither height nor depth nor any other creature, will be able to separate us from the love of God that comes to us in Christ Jesus, our Lord’.

PROFIT

MARK, CHAPTER  8 VERSES 35-38

35″Whoever would preserve his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and the gospel’s will preserve it. 36 What profit does a man show who gains the whole world and destoys himself in the process? 37 What can a man offor in exchange for his life! 38 If anyone in this faithless and corrupt age is ashamed of me and my doctrine, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when he comes with the holy angels in his Father’s glory.”

TRUE HAPPINESS

In life conflict and indifferance are a constant contibutor to unhappiness. In the book of LUKE Chapter 11 Verses 27-28 the answer lays.

While he was saying this a woman from the crowd called out, “Blest is the womb that bore you and the breast that nursed you!” 28 “Rather,” He replied, “blest are they who hear the word of God, and keep it.”

Warning to the Rich

Chapter 5 verses 1-6

1)As for you rich, weep and wail over your impending miseries.2)Your wealth has rotted, your fine wardrobe has grown motheaten,3)your gold and silver have corroded, and their corrosion shall be a testimony against you; it will devour your flesh like a fire.  See what you have stored up for yourselves against the last days.4)Here crying aloud, are the wages you witheld from the farmlands who harvested your fields.  The crys of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord of Hosts.  5) You lived in wanton luxery on the earth; you fattened yourselves for the day of slaughter. 6)You condemned, even killed, the just man; he does not resist you.

Mockery

For it is written of those who employ the pitfalls of another:

Sirach, chapter 27, verses 26-30

26)As He who digs a pit falls into it, and he who lays a snare is caught in it,

27)Whoever does harm will be involved it it, without knowing how it came upon him.

28)Mockery and abuse will be the lot of the proud, and vengeance lies in wait for them like a lion.

29)The trap seizes those who rejoice in pitfalls, and pain will consume them before they die;

30)Wrath and anger are hateful things, yet the sinner hugs them tight.

Impurity

Mark Chapter 7 verses6-9 and20-23

6)He said to them,”How accurately Isaiah prophesied about you hypocrites when he wrote,’This people pays me lip service but their heart is far from me. 7)Empty is the reverence they do me because they teach as dogmas mere human precepts.’8)You disregard God’s commandment and cling to what is human tradition.”9)He went on to say:”You have made a fine art of setting aside God’s commandment and cling to what is human tradition.”20) He went on to say,”What emerges from within a man, that and nothing else is what makes him impure. 21)Wicked designs come from the deep recesses of the heart:acts of fornication, theft, murder,22)adulterous conduct, greed, maliciousness, deceit, sensuality, envy, blasphemy, arrogance, and obtuse spirit.23)All these evils come from within and render a man impure.”
