SHARING

When one shares with another, he does so because it delights his spirit, graces his soul and blesses his heavenly Father.   Jesus came and he shared.   He shared his-self with us.   Yet, when one shares, he can be rejected and rebuffed.   Sometimes he is embraced and loved all the more.  Either way there are only two choices.    Jesus said it himself, ‘you will either love one and hate another’.  Here He was referring to God or money.   Nonetheless, it covers all the territory.   There will always be only two choices no matter what we do.  One is right and the other wrong.

Many profess to know Jesus.   Yet, when it comes right down to it, who do you know that really knows Jesus?   To know Jesus is to delight in His Spirit, and follow His teachings.   Yet, they know nothing of Him!  Jesus, the man, Jesus the Savior the God!   Why, they believe they know Him because the know his name.    You may know someones name, and yet are so removed from who they are, you don’t even know there birthday.   Jesus Christ is professed to be known by many because they know His birthday.    They celebrate it, and the holiness of the day escapes them.   Why?   Because to know someone, you have to choose to love someone, and in so doing you are putting yourself out there to be rejected.   Christ was rejected!  Yet, He put himself out there for you and I to choose the truth or the lies!     Jesus Christ is the truth.  In the book of John Chapter 7 verses 16-19

16)   This was Jesus answer:

“My doctine is not my own; it comes from him who sent me.

17)   Any man who chooses to do his will will know about this doctrine-namely, whether it comes from God or is simply spoken on my own.

18)   Whoever speaks on his own is bent on self-glorification.   The man who seeks glory for him who sent him is truthful; there is no dishonesty in his heart.

19)   Moses has given you the law, has he not?   Yet not one of you keeps it.   Why do you look for a chance to kill me?”

The law Jesus speaks of is, The Ten Commandments!   The ten rules sent forth from God that still stand today.    Jesus lives these commandments out in His life, and work.  His examples are Gods, His will through His very Son Jesus Christ!   The above scripture reinforces that Gods will must be done to enter the kingdom of heaven, namely follow the teachings, apply them to your heart so that you may know the truth.

Shoes

Shoes take us in the direction we choose.   Perhaps this is why they are named as shoes. Many words are significant in their names.  For instance a dog spelled backwards is God.  It is signifcant in that a dogs love is unconditional and will love regardless of our lack of attention and comittment to him.  Gods great love for us, is such.  Who amongst us will give his only son for another, to save their life?

Yet, the only requirement is to appreciate the significance of the act.   Would anyone of us not expect the same?   Jesus Christ with a fullness of humility and obedience to His Father comitted to the task imposed  reigns as King of Heaven and Earth.   Yet, few care to reflect and praise Him for His sacrifice.   God is from whom we recieve our breath.   Yet, many believe it is a lie.   For if they did not believe it was a lie they too would be on their knees.   The ‘Glory of the Lord’ will always remain whether you or I choose to recognize Him as ‘Lord and Savior’ of our lives.   Why?   Simply because God has ordained it as such.  He is, and always will be, whether we believe or not.    Yet, who do you know who  loves you so much that He would give a very part of himself to save your life?   No greater love has a man than to lay down his life for his friends. Spoken by Jesus himself, these words and His words will always stand, no matter what century we progress to.    Will you or I be allowed into the Kingdom of Heaven?   Jesus Christ is the Alpha and the Omega.    The truth is of Christ, He calls His own. John Chapter 10 verses 27-30

27)  “MY SHEEP HEAR MY VOICE.  I KNOW THEM, AND THEY FOLLOW ME.

28)  I GIVE THEM ETERNAL LIFE, AND THEY SHALL NEVER PARISH.   NO ONE SHALL SNATCH THEM OUT OF MY HAND.

29)   MY FATHER IS GREATER THAN ALL, IN WHAT HE HAS GIVEN ME, AND THERE IS NO SNATCHING OUT OF HIS HAND.   THE FATHER AND I ARE ONE.”

Good Man and Evil Men

In the book of Luke Chapter 6 Verses 45-47

 45)   “A good man produces goodness from the good in his heart; and evil man produces evil out of his store of evil.   Each man speaks from his heart’s abundance.   46) Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not put into practice what I teach you? 47)   Any man who desires  to come to me will hear my words and put them into practice.   I will show you with whom he is to be compared.”

Watchfulness

In the book of Mark, chapter 13 verses 32-37  32 “As to the exact day or hour, no one knows it, neither the angels in heaven nor even the Son, but only the Father. 33 Be constantly on the watch!   Stay awake!   You do not know when the appointed time will come 34  It is like a man traveling abroad.   He leaves home and  places his servants in charge, each with his own task; and he orders the man at the gate to watch with a sharp eye.   35 Look around you!   You do not know when the master of the house is coming, whether dawn or dusk, at midnight, when the cock crows, or at the early dawn.   36 Do not let him come suddenly and catch you asleep.   37 What I say to you, I say to all; Be on guard!”

The Old and the New

Regardless of whether it is the Old Testament or the New Testament, the sins of mankind  never cease.   Jesus Christ the very person of God Our Father himself came to live according to God Our Fathers will and still we can not get it together.

In Ezekiel Chapter 22 verses 8-16

In the Old Testament, the book of Ezekiel God speaks to us according to our sins,  even back then.

8)’What is holy to me you have spurned, and my sabbaths you have desecrated.9)There are those in you who slander to cause bloodshed; within you are those who feast on the mountains; in your midst are those who do lewd things. 10) In you are those who uncover the nakedness of their fathers, and in you those who coerce women in their menstrual period. 11) There are those in you who do abominable things with the wives of their neighbors, men who defile their daughters-in-law by incest, men who coerce their sisters, the daughters of their own fathers. 12) There are those in you who take bribes to shed blood.   You exact interest and usury; you despoil your neighbors violently; and me you have forgotten, says the Lord God.

13) See I am brushing one hand against the other because of the unjust profits you have made and because of the blood shed in your midst. 14) Can your heart remain firm, will your hands be strong, in the days when I deal with you?   I the Lord, have spoken, and I will act. 15) I will disperse you among the nations and scatter you over foreign lands, so that I may purge your uncleanness.  16)In you I will allow myself to be profaned in the eyes of the nations; thus you shall know that  I am the LORD.’

We can read the Old Testament, and see that mankind will not change.  To turn from sin to the Love of God through Jesus Christ is the epitomy of eternal salvation. Yet, when one reads the above scripture, one would think God was speaking about todays immorality and impropriety, not thousands of years ago.

We know God is true to His word, for He sent the ‘great flood’.  His covenant to us that He will not destroy us again by flood, is the rainbow.  Yet, now, thousands of years later, our impropriety, and immorality is reaching the very core of God.  He is watching.   We have only to wait to see if He will destoy us, much like Sodom and Gomorrah.   In the book of Genesis Chapter 19  verses  1-29 you may reference this passage.

The New Testament in the Book of Revelations we recongnize Gods wrath on a sinful man.

Chapter 16 verses 1-17

THE SEVEN BOWLS. Chapter 16 verse 1) ” I heard a mighty voice from the sanctuary say to the seven angels, “Go and pour out upon the earth the seven bowls of Gods wrath!”

2) The first angel went out, and when he poured out his bowl on the earth, severe and festering boils broke out on the men who had accepted the mark of the beast or worshiped its image.

3) The second angel poured out his bowl on the sea.   The sea turned to blood like that of a corpse, and every creature living in the sea died.

4)  The third angel poured out his bowl on the rivers and springs.   These also turned to blood.

5)  Then I heard the angel in charge of the waters cry out:

“YOU ARE JUST, O HOLY ONE WHO IS AND WHO WAS, IN PASSING THIS SENTENCE!

6)  TO THOSE WHO SHED BLOOD OF SAINTS AND PROPHETS, YOU HAVE GIVEN BLOOD TO DRINK; THEY DESERVE IT”

7)  THEN I HEARD THE ALTER CRY OUT: “YES LORD GOD ALMIGHTY, YOUR JUDGMENTS ARE TRUE AND JUST!”

8)  The fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun.   He was commissioned to burn men with fire.

9)  Those who were scorched by the intense heat blasphedmed the name of God who had power to send these plagues, but They did not repent or give him due honor.

10)  The fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast.   Its kingdom was plunged into darkness; men bit their tongues in pain.

11)  and blasphemed the God of heaven because of their suffering and their boils.   But they did not turn away from their wicked deeds.

12)  The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates.   Its water was dried up to prepare the way for the kings of the East.

13)  I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come from the mouth of the dragon, from the mouth of the beast, and ferom the mouth of the false prophet;

14)  These spirits were devils who worked prodigies.   They went out to assemble all the kings of the earth for battle on the great day of God The Almighty.

15)  (Be on your guard! I come like a thief.   Happy the man who stays wide awake and fully clothed for fear of going naked and exposed for all to see!)

16)  The devils then assembled the kings in a place called in Hebrew “Armageddon.”

17)  Finally, the seven  angel poured out his bowl upon the empty air.   From the throne in the sanctuary came a loud boice which said, “IT IS FINISHED!”

Evil is as Evil Does

There are many explanations throughout the Bible regarding Evil.   Why?   It is the nature of man to turn toward evil. We find an explanation is Proverbs that reinforces this fact! Proverbs Chapter 6  verses 12-18

12)’A scoundrel, a villain, is he who deals in crooked talk.

13)He winks his eyes, shuffles his feet, makes signs with his fingers;

14)He has perversity in his heart, is always plotting evil, sows discord.

15)Therefore suddenly ruin comes upon him; in an instant he is crushed beyond cure.

16)There are six things the Lord hates, yes, seven are an abomination to him;

17)Haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood;

18)A heart that plots wicked schemes, feet that run swiftly to evil,

19)The false witness who utters lies, and he who sows discord among brothers.

SERVANT OF THE LORD

In the Book of Isaiah Chapter 42 verses 1-9  we find the answer to why some are propelled and gifted to speak on behalf of the Lord.

1)Here is my servant whom I uphold, my chosen one with whom I am pleased, Upon whom I have put my spirit; he shall bring forth justice to the nations.

2)Not crying out, not shouting, not making his voice heard in the street.

3)A bruised reed he shall not break, and a smoldering wick he shall not quench,

4)Until he establishes justice on the earth; the coastlands will wait for his teaching.

5)Thus says God, the Lord, who created the heavens and stretched them out, who spreads out the earth with its crops, Who gives breath to its people and spirit to whose who walk on it:

6)I, the Lord have called you for the victory of justice, I have grasped you by the hand; I formed you, and set you as a convenant of the people, a light for the nations,

7)To open the eyes of the blind, to bring out prisoners from confinement, and from the dungeon, those who live in darkness.

8)I am the Lord, this is my name; my glory I give to no other, nor my praise to idols.

9)See, the earlier things have come to pass, new ones I now foretell; Before they spring into being, I announce them to you.

FEAR OF THE LORD

The Lord preserves those who fear Him and follow His precepts.  In Psalm 103 verses 13-18 we are enlightened to His delight.  13) As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him, 14) For he knows how we are formed; he remembers that we are dust. 15)Man’s days are like those of grass; like a flower of the field he blooms; 16) The wind sweeps over him and he is gone, and his place knows him no more. 17)But the kindness of the Lord is from eternity to eternity toward those who fear him,  And his justice toward children’s children among those who keep his covenant, and remember to fulfill his precepts.

THE MOST HIGH

Where is God?  Most look within the church.   However, according to scripture we find the answer most  perfectly.  In the Acts of  the Apostles, Chapter 7  verses 48-53    48)  “Yet the Most High does not dwell in buildings made by human hands,for as the prophet says:  49) ‘The heavens are my throne, the earth my footstool; What kind of house can you build me? asks the Lord. What is my resting-place to be like? 50) Did not my hand make all these things?’ Conclusion. 51) “You stiff necked people, uncircumcised in the heart and ears, you are always opposing the Holy Spirit just as your fathers did before you. 52)Was there ever any prophet whom your fathers did not persecute? In their day, they put to death those who fortold the coming of the Just One; now you in your turn have become his betrayers and murders. 53) You  who recieved the law through the ministry of angels have not observed it.”

HUMILITY

In the Book of Matthew Jesus speaks of being last, and of serving others.  Humility is of Christ. Christ himself came to serve, not be served.   Though He is the King of Kings He sacrificed Himself for the sake of others; even  death on a cross. In Matthew 20 verse 28  28) ”  Such  is the case with the Son Of Man who has come, not to be served by others, but to serve, to give his own life as a ransom for many.” Jesus, proves a point by choosing to ride an ‘ass’ rather than a Stallion. Jesus entire was lived out in parables.  Everything He did had meaning. It was done for a specific purpose.  In Matthew Chapter 21,  1-5   1)’As they drew near Jerusalem, entering  Bethphage on the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent off two disciples 2)with instructions: “Go into the village straight ahead of you and you will immediatley find an ass tethered and her colt with her. Untie then and lead them back to me. 3)If anyone says a word to you, say, ‘The Master needs them.’ Then he will let then go at once.” 4)This came about to fulfill what was said throught the prophet:

5)”Tell the daughter Zion, Your King comes to you without display astride an ass,astride a colt, the foal of a beast of burden.”
