OCEAN

OceanAhh!   The Ocean!  If you have never seen the ocean you can not fathom its vastness! It takes your breath away!   People who live by the ocean accept it a common place.   So it is-to some degree.   Yet, when you have never experienced the ocean, you can not do its magnificense justice.   I grew up in the midwest.  We only heard about the ocean.   We saw pictures and imagined it.   Yet, to really see it, to really experience the vastness of its size is beyond all human understanding.   So it is with the love of God!    He is so vast and so magnificent that to think one knows
God,  one can only fool himself.   For the love of the heavenly Father is so profound that when you come to Him and ‘Give’ your heart to Him, he continues to draw you in with more graces and and more blessings that humanly fathonable.    Ah yes, the great scholars and the learned of the teachings of scripture, they are marvelous indeed.   Their gifts supersede all understanding.   Some are so wonderful you can not get enough of their knowledge.   Yet, this is a gift!   It is the ‘Gift of the Holy Spirit’!   Jesus Christ Himself, brought forth this magificent gift.   It was another of His many gifts to us.   Yet, to understand the gift of the ‘Holy Spirit’ is to say, you know all things.  It is not possiable.   For God is the Father of the ‘Holy Spirit’!  He stands with the dawn of time and it is He that determines who is worthy of this great gift.  I say this because, all are welcome to it, but very few are thirsting for it!   For if they were, they would change their ways.   Yet, it is time that dicatates everything.   God is in charge of time.   There is no getting away from God, friend.   He is and always will be!   You and I will always be also.   Why?  Because once the breath of life is breathed into each of us, it is God who gives it, and God does not go back on His word, like man does.    Since, the ‘soul’ is eternal, then we must all decide where we wish to spend eternity.   Jesus Christ the mediator, between God and man is ther bridge to eternal life.   There is no changing the facts friend!  You can argue the point with me or someone else, yet, the truth is of Christ.   The truth will always be.   Just as Jesus the Son of  God will always be.   The air you breathe is from God and if you choose to recognize this, you must also realize, the soul, is His as well.  If it is spoiled from sin and remains unclean without the ‘blood of Christ’ to purify it, then God will not be pleased to allow it into His kingdom.   His heart breaks to turn anyone away.   Yet, Jesus would have died in vain, if an impure spirit were worthy of the kingdom of God.

If you have ever seen a new snow fall, you then know the brightness of fresh snow.   It is blinding.  Sun-glasses are needed!   So, imagine coffee  on a pure snow fall.  It turns ‘ugly’ real fast!  Ugly to behold.  When once one could look and say, ‘how beautiful!’   So it is with mankind, impure and stained from sin, temptations!   ‘Free Will’ separates man from God.   Once a soul realizes God is the lover of the soul, he comes to the Lord.   This act of humility is pleasing to God.   For God delights in a humble spirit.   ‘A haughty spirit goes before a fall.’   (taken from Proverbs).   The Love of God is Jesus Christ, the Son of God.  He lives out the teachings of the Father for the sake of all mankind.   To embrace Jesus Christ is to love God!  For Jesus died so that all may live.  One Spirit in Christ, is the Fathers desire.   For they are one!  The Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Ghost, are and always will be.

Consider this from the Book of James:   Chapter 4 verses4-10

4 “O you unfaithful ones, are you not aware that love of the world is enmity to God?   A man is marked out as God’s enemy if he chooses to be the ‘worlds friend.’   5)Do you suppose it is to no purpose that Scripture says, “The Spirit he has implanted in us tends toward jealousy”?   6)Yet, he bestows a greater gift, for the sake of which it is written,

“God resists the proud but bestows his favor on the lowly.”

7) Therefore submit to God; resist the devil and he will take flight.   8)  Draw close to God, and he will draw close to you.   Cleanse your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, you backsliders.   9)Begin to lament, to mourn, and to weep; let your laughter be turned into sorrow.   10)Be humbled in the sight of the Lord and he will raise you on high.”

Response to God’s Gift

The Annunciation of MaryIn the Book Of James Chapter 1 verses 16-22

16 “Make no mistake about this, this my dear brothers. 17″ Every worth while gift, every genuine benefit comes from above, descending from the Father of the heavenly luminaries, who cannot change and who is never shadowed over.  18″ He wills to bring us to birth with a word spoken in truth so that we may be kind of first fruits of his creatures.   19″ Keep this in mind, dear brothers.”

“Let every man be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger; 20″ for a man’s anger does not fulfill God’s justice.  21″Strip away all that is filthy, every vicious excess.   Humbly welcome the word that has taken root in you, with its power to save you.  22″ Act on this word.   If all you do is listen to it, you are deceiving yourselves.”

WRATH

In the Epistle of Paul to the Colossians Chapter 3 verses 5-11Renunciation of Vices

5) ‘Put to death whatever in your nature is rooted on earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desires, and that lust which is idolatry. 6)These are the sins which provoke God’s wrath. 7)Your own conduct was once of this sort, when these sins were your very life. 8)You must put that aside now: all the anger and quick temper, the malice, the insults, the foul language. 9) Stop lying to one another. What you have done is put aside your old self with its past deeds 10) and put on a new man, one who grows in knowledge as he is formed anew in the image of his Creator. 11) There is no Greek or Jew here, circumcised or uncircumcised, foreigner, Scythian, slave, or freemen. Rather Christ is everything in all of you.’

SONS OF GOD THROUGH ADOPTION

In Romans Chapter 8 verses 14-17

St Paul writes again more specifically about being children of God.

14)” All  who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.  15)You did not recieve a spirit of slavery leading you back into fear, but a spirit of adoption through which we cry out, “Abba!”(THAT IS FATHER) 16) The Spirit himself gives witness with our spirit that we are children, of God.   17) But if we are children, we are heirs as well; heirs of God, heirs with Christ, if only we suffer with him so as to be glorified with him.”

Our Heavenly Father, so desires a relationship with each of us that He sends numerous opportunites to us daily.   They can be as insignifcant as helping someone carry their grocieries to taking a call from a friend in need, or volunteering where help is needed.  Regardless, God is present and His manifestation is at work.   yet, it is a choice to see it as such.   Anyone can choose to beleive in coincidences, or Faith.   When God offors change, He does so for the spiritual well  being of the ‘soul’ He has endorsed change for.   Sometimes, it seems like a curse, yet when ‘praise’ is given to our Heavenly Father a window of faith and enlightenment occurs within us.   This window is a spiritual growth manifested by the ‘Holy Spirit’ to bless us onward, and to bring us out of darkness.   Darkness being sin and doubt.  Sin and darkness are always a constant and we must pray to maintain a higher level of faith and trust in God, so love may abound.

CHILDREN

When we reflect on children, we imagine them small and in need of supervision.   Yet, in Gods perspective, even we adults are children.   We are indeed ‘His’ children.   Yet, we fail to recognize this.   We would rather empower ourselves than to turn to another who knows how.   Pride, one of the seven deadly sins, is often the determining factor.     In one of the many passages, Jesus says: ” Let the children come to me.   Do not hinder them.   The kingdom of God belongs to such as these.”  From the Book of Matthew chapter 19 verse 14

So, in knowing that the kingdom of heaven belongs to the ‘childlike’.   Then, we must search our hearts, to discover if we are ‘in love’ with God Our Father!   He is our creator.   Through Him, with Him, and In Him, all things are possible.   Yet, if we are to proud to call upon the name of God to be saved through the ‘blood of the Lamb of God, then where does that leave us?   Are we not in offense to our Creator?

So, whether it be the young or the old, do we all not need the love of one another?    And so, if that is indeed the case, do we not realize that each of us has the spirit of God within us?   Yet, this same spirit can be stifled.   For example:

I was visiting with my grandson, who is 2  1/2 .  When we said grace, he made the sign of the cross, and said, Amen when we were done.    When we prayed at night, he prayed those prayers too.   When a child learns what he lives, he is then an example for others.   This is also true for ‘grown-ups’!  By  the same token, I was with acqaintance who’s son was pushed, and his  Father told him to ‘kick’em!    In  comparison, we can see the diffence between ‘good’ and ‘evil’!   Yet, people today, choose to believe there is no such thing as sin or evil!   Unbelievable!   The violence, and ill-mannered are that way by lack of direction, or lack of parenting.   At any rate if there is no one to ask then who is to blame?

The family nucelus is in shreds.   What changed?   There is no one home!   When there is no parental direction, there is no instruction.   Children young and old need the direction and love of a parent.   Yet, it is ignored!  Why?  Money, greed, power, position, prestige, and anything that elevates to a place of honor.   It is humility that our Lord searches our hearts for.  If we are arrogant and proud, and He who made us has no say, then where do we go from here?

In the ‘Epistle of Paul to the Philipians :  Chapter 2 verse 13-16    13) It is God who, in his good will toward you, begets in you any measure of desire or achievement.   (14) ” In everything you do, act without grumbling or arguing; 15) prove yourselves innocent and straightforward, children of God beyond reproach in the midst of a twisted and depraved generation-among whom you shine like the stars in the sky 16)while holding fast to the word of life.   As I look to the Day of Christ, you give me cause to boast that I did not run the race in vain or work to no purpose.”

St Paul answers the question I proposed. Very clearly, we are to become Christ like in all we do.    So, in maintaining the innocence of ‘children,’ we become children of God.  For a world without Christ is a world in chaos.   Christ came that we may all be of one spirit in Christ.   Thereby achieveing peace.   In Chapter 4 verse 9 and 19-20

9)”Live according to what you have learned and accepted, what you have heard me say and seen me do.   Then will the God of Peace be with You.” In the closing St Paul reminds us: 19)” My God in turn will supply your needs fully, in a way worthy of his magnificent riches in Christ Jesus. 20) All glory to our God and Father for unending ages! Amen.

HAIL MARY

The Annunciation of MaryWho is Mary?   Mary is the Mother of God!   The Son, Jesus Christ, both God and Man was concieved and born for the sake of all mankind.   Mary, with the greatest of humility, became the Mother of Jesus Christ, the savior of the world.   Conceived by the Holy Spirit, God became Man.   So, it is to this day we celebrate Christmas and Easter.   Yet, too many today question the lovliness of Our Blessed Mother, and her place within the Roman Catholic Church.   Mary is held in honor by the love of her son, and the power of God the Father!   The Roman Catholic Church is the ‘bride of Christ’.    She, (the church) is the heartbeat of our Lord Jesus Christ.   No other church can make the claim or ascertain the graces and favours of that of the Roman Catholic Church.    Instituted be Jesus Christ himself, she reigns today, as always.   The church of our Lord is such because He is in the Body and Blood in the consecration of the sacrament at Holy Mass.  The very power of Jesus Christ Himself manifested through this human act.   So, as this has been blessed by God, so has the institution of our Blessed Mother be ordained as Queen of Heaven and Earth.   Blessed Mother of all.   She is so loved, that if it were not so, God would have indeed impeached her from the elevated reign as we know it!    God perfected the human race through the love of His Son Jesus Christ.   This perfection of love is available to all mankind.  Yet, today, as always, Gods wisdom is questioned by many.  God chose man to be born of woman, because the world fell through the sin of woman, and so also was redeemed through the blessing of woman.   So, doing God has made known that His love for woman is still and always will be.   So if there was ever a doubt it is proven through the gift of Mary as the chosen, Mother of God.  The following is the prayer to our Blessed Mother, from all who love her and wish to adore her as Queen of Heaven and Earth.

“Hail Mary, full of Grace, the Lord is with thee.   Blessed is thou among women and blessed is the fruit of they womb, Jesus.   Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.   Amen.”

The Seven Tears and Dolors of the Blessed Virgin Mary

1)The prophecy of Simeon (St Luke, Chapter 2 verses 34-35

2)The flight into Egypt (St Matthew, Chapter 2 verses 13-14

3)The loss of the Child Jesus in the Temple. (St Luke, Chapter 2 verses 43-45

4)The meeting of Jesus and Mary of the Way of the Cross.

5)The Crucifixion.

6)Taking down of the Body of Christ from the Cross.

7)The Burial of Jesus.

When the above ‘Seven Tears and Dolors’ are prayed daily, while reciting the ‘Hail Mary’ Seven times, and meditated upon, seven graces will be imposed upon the devoted soul.    The seven graces are:

1)I will grant them peace in their families.

2)They will be enlightened about the divine mysteries.

3)I will console then in their pains and I will accompany them in their work.

4)I will give them as much as they ask for as long as it does not oppose the adorable will of my divine Son or the sanctification of their souls.

5)I will defend them in their spiritual battles with the infernal enemy and I will protect them at every instant of their lives.

6)I will visibly help them at the moment of their death.   They will see the face of thier Mother.

7)I have obtained (This Grace) from my divine Son, that those who propogate this devotion to my tears and dolors, will be taken directly from this earthly life to eternal happiness since all their sins will be forgiven and My Son and I will be their eternal consolation and Joy.

DISTRACTIONS

The life we live is filled with concerns.   They are so numerous for all of us that it is easy to ignore the truth to living.   The living truth through the word of God is imperative to a fruitful harvest.   The harvest being the souls preparation for the kingom of

God.   To many can not be bothered.   They are the distracted.   The tools of Satan are distractions.    He has many ‘tools’ yet the high tech era we live in, is in and of itself the anchor to become victorious over God.   Yet, God does win in the end.   The victorious will be those that stand with Christ through the struggles of this life.   The struggles being temptations that are in our daily path of life.   The seven deadly sins are: Lust, Greed, Pride, Envy, Sloth, Gluttony, Anger.    These sins are the ‘cornerstone’ to Satans  desire for our souls.   Though technology is not a sin, the waste of time is a sin.  The problem here is that it steals the spirit of the living.   When we are texting or facebooking or e-mailing, i-poding, wii-ing, and note-pading, we are about ourselves and the exalting of ourselves to others.   The spirit of the sender and recievers are not experienced, but rather lost in the cyber-space world.   You say it is doubtful?!  I say it is absolute! The compassion of thy fellow man is eliminated, due to the lack of experiencing emotion.   If this were not so, would people not be cold and calus as they are today.   Where do you find the social skills that were once instituted?   The “Please and Thank-you’s the You are Welcome.   Even the extending of an invitation is  done over the internet today.   The Lord wants an e-mail?!  I doubt it!   Everything has its place.   As with most anything, to much and problems arise.  In all this my point is to consider your time and your life.  How much of your time and life is teching?   I had a young man tell me his friend is so into the war-games he does not even date.  He is so mezmerized by the battle and conflict he becomes involved in.  In Life We are Only allowed so much time.  How we spend it is our choice.   Be very careful that you do not throw it away in cyber-space.   It is easy to become an object rather than and identity.

From the point of the ‘black box til now, distractions have been a constant threat to deterring us from the love of God.   It is written to pray ‘without ceasing’.  In other words, if you are to busy with ‘black box’ toys and the flesh filled desires, and the desires of your own heart, then there will be need for self-examination.

HUMILITY and FORGIVENESS

Can anyone enter the kingdom of heaven without humility?   It is written in the book of LUKE Chapter 14 verse 11:

11)”For everyone who exalts himself shall be humbled and he who humbles himself shall be exalted.”

What of forgiveness?   Can anyone enter the kingdom of heaven and be lacking in forgiveness?

LUKE Chapter6   verses 36-37

36″Be  compassionate, as your Father is compassionate. 37) Do not judge, and you will not be judged.   Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned.   Pardon, and you will be pardoned.”

AGAINST THE WORLD

In the book of John Chapter 2 verses15-17

John tells us the world, and its desires are not of heaven.   We can see in the following scripture that God is above the things of the world.

15) “Have no love for the world, nor the things that the world affords.   If anyone, loves the world, the Father’s love has no place in him.

16) For nothing that the world affords comes from the Father.   Carnal allurements, enticements for the eye, the life of empty show-all these are from the world.

17 And the world with its seductions is passing away but the man who does God’s will endures forever.”

HAPPY 4th of JULY

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA!

We  have the opportunity to speak freely, pray freely, write openly, and express ourselves openly.    This  freedom is available to the mulititudes because of people who believed.   They believed God wanted more for His people.   Today we are still fighting for those freedoms.   The United States of America has a flag just like many other countries, yet there are some who do not pledge alligiance  to her, but prefer their own country’ s flag.   This is immoral.  As Americans we must profess our love for ‘Old Glory’ together or destroy ourselves from within.

The Pledge of Allegiance:

“I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with Liberty, and justice for all.”

Fact: Whenever, The ‘Pledge of Allegiance’ is recited, all non-uniformed persons should stand at attention facing the flag with their right hands over their hearts.   Persons in uniform should remain silent, face the flag and render the military salute.

Fact: The ‘Star Spangled Banner” was written in 1814 by Francis Scott Key and declared the national anthem in 1931.    When the anthem is played or sung, citizens should stand and face the flag to show their respect for the United States of America.   A non-uniformed person wearing a hat must remove it with the right hand and hold it against the left shoulder, right hand resting over the heart.

Quote: By, Henry Cabot Lodge, 1915

“THE FLAG STANDS FOR ALL THAT WE HOLD DEAR-FREEDOM,DEMOCRACY, GOVERNMENT OF THE PEOPLE, BY THE PEOPLE, AND FOR THE PEOPLE.”

FACT:

‘THE FLAG SHOULD ALWAYS BE TREATED WITH THE UNMOST CARE AND  RESPECT.   REMEMBER, THE FLAG REPRESENTS A LIVING COUNTRY AND, AS SUCH, IS CONSIDERED A LIVING THING.’

QUOTE: BY HENRY WARD BEECHER, 1861

“A THOUGHTFUL MIND, WHEN IT SEES A NATION’S FLAG, SEES NOT THE FLAG ONLY, BUT THE NATION ITSELF.”

FLYING AT HALF-STAFF:

FLYING THE U.S. FLAG AT HALF STAFF, OR IN A SHIP AT HALF-MAST, IS AN HONORED TRADITION WHICH SIGNIFIES THAT THE NATION IS IN MOURNING DUE TO THE DEATH OF A PROMINENT CITIZEN.

The above facts were taken from the American Flag pamphlet by Annin flagmakers.

‘ THE FLAG OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA SHOULD ALWAYS BE TREATED WITH THE UNTMOST RESPECT.   REMEMBER, THE FLAG REPRESENTS A LIVING COUNTRY AND, AS SUCH, IS CONSIDERED A LIVING THING.’
