Chosen

In all the world, in all of time, there is no pain that can equal the pain infused upon the man, the Lamb, the God, who hung on the cross on calvary that first ‘Good Friday’!   The man, that took the pain, of the sins of world upon Himself, for the ‘sake’ of all mankind; in that one ‘pure’ ‘perfect’ act, is not enough to bring mankind to the one and Only God!

What does it take for a soul to realize he is only a spec?   A passing of time, like a wave that crashes upon the shore and is over, or a flower that is, and then dies?

He, the Christ is and has fulfilled ‘His’ and ‘Our’ Fathers desires.   Yet, there are ‘few’ very very few, who want Him.   To know Him, Love Him, and crave Him!    Jesus Christ is the Alpha and Omega!   He is the same yesterday, today, and forever!    Think of it!   This one perfect love available to all mankind, from the beginning of all time, He is and always will be!    We, the insignificant have been invited to a very beautiful feast, one that lasts a life time.    People prefer to live for the now, rather than eternity with God.  Unreal!    Really to come to Jesus and to know Jesus and to love Jesus is to love the Father!   To know He who made you and I is really the greatest gift anyone can ask for.   Peace for all eternity, love for all eternity, joy for all eternity, yet it is refused!   Why?   For what?   For a fleeting  of an instant of passion, of power, of fame?   Inconcieveable to those of us who have found and come to know Jesus.   He is a lifetime of favor!   He is a lifetime of love. He is a life time of forgiveness!

Scripture has it: Book of Luke  Chapter 14 verses 15-24

15) At these words one in  the party said to him, “Happy is he who eats bread from the kingdom of God.”

16) Jesus responded, “A man was giving a large dinner and he invited many.

17)At dinner time he sent his servant to say to those invited, ‘Come along, everything is ready now.’

18)But they began to excuse themselves, one and all.   The first one said, I have bought some land and must go out and inspect it.   Please excuse me.’

19) Another said, ‘I have bought five yoke of oxen and I am going out to test them.   Please excuse me.’

20) A third said, ‘I am newly married and so I cannot come.’

21) The servant returning reported this to his master.   The master of the house grew angry at the account.   He said to his servant, ‘ Go out quickly into the streets and alley’s of the town and bring in the poor and the crippled, the blind and the lame.’

22) ‘The servant reported, after some time, ‘Your orders have been carried out, my Lord, and there is still room.’

23) The master  then said, to the servant,  ‘ Go out into the highways and along the hedgerows and force them to come in.   I want my house to be full, 24) But I tell you that not one of those invited shall taste a morsel of my dinner.'”

A great wealthy man gave a great feast, and invited all.   Yet, they did not come.  So, he called tha lame and the broken and the forgotten.   They came and shared the greatest feast ever, and for all time.

The arrogant, the self reightous, and the haughty could not bring themselves to this great feast.    The very idea that they were to busy, to important, to take time is the determining factor as to who comes to the feast of the Eternal Father!

TRUST

Jesus Walks On WaterWe are all faced with a choice daily that renders the outcome of each encounter.    Seems rather obvious, but the trust factor is dormant in many people.    The lack of trust we initiate towards others dictates the degree of growth that stems from the incurring encounter.

Whether it be Doctor, or trainer, Boss, or spouse, friend, or even your Pastor; the direct impact often results in our perspective toward God.    Why??   Simply because these external forces initiate a direct impact on our daily lives.    Sometimes when things go askew, and the forces seem to be opposing everything positive, we ask Why?

The Greater Good, who is God Himself allows free choice to each and every person.    The free choice mechanism leaves an unprotected void.     This void allows the random act of life forces to come upon us against our will, when we do not choose God first!    This is not to say that because you love God and trust God, and hold God first things will not falter also!

However, the greater miracle is you and I.    We are made in His image.   Therefore when we rise in the morning we should give ‘Glory to God’ in the highest!   Why?   Praise and exaltation belong to Him because He is and always will be.   We are only specs.   The take of the perspective of each life has a common denominator.   That fact being we are all brothers and sisters through Jesus Christ, His Only Son!  His perfect sacrifice initiated the completion of any question we may have about a real true loving God!

However over the Top it may be, we are all the same.  We can refernce the scriptures regarding trust! JE SUS WALKS ON WATER TO PROVE THIS POINT!

In the Book of John Chapter 6 verses 16-20

In this scripture, Jesus is present even though they do not see Him.   Jesus calming the water and walking to the boat is in and of itself a parable; in that Jesus knows life (the water) gets turbulent and though we do not see Him, we should always remember He is with us.   Jesus is totally aware of our situations.    Each turbulent storm is an opportunity to stop and consider Jesus walking towards us to calm our fears.   Just as He calmed the fears of His diciples when the wind came up and He approached walking on water.   The fact that He walked on water also can be taken to heart that He can do anything!   So, how ever grave the situation He can and will walk to you and I through the most difficult ordeals.  Prayer should be offored up to Our Lord during these times.    Without fail, He will calm us through it all.   We must ask to recieve His peace.

Unbelieveabley, it is during these times that we grow in closeness to Our Lord.   To achieve the greatest degree of adoration to Jesus does indeed take suffering and praise!   For Jesus Christ is able, and capable, and desiring of our growth in love and Faith!    We do not disappoint Him when we persevere toward  this; thereby reaching the ultimate, a faith so deep that it and only it is all we need!

WHY

In the course of our lives, one of the very first words we learn is ‘why’!   Seems that it is the case even as adults, we continually ask, ‘why’!
What ever promps the question, even if there is no one around; we can look up to the ‘heavens’ and ask ‘why’.

It most certainly is a test of faith!   For in journeying through this life we know everything happens for a reason.

In referencing  Esslesiastes chapter 3 verses 1-15 )   1) “There is an appointed time ccfor everything, and a time for every affair under the heavens.”

2)”A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to uproot the plant.”

3) ” A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to tear down, and a time to build.”

4) ” A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance.”

5) ” A time to scatter stones, and a time to gather them; a time to embrace, and a time to be far from embraces.”

6) ” A time to seek, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away .”

7) ” A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to be silent, and a time to speak.”

8) “A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.”

9) ” What advantage has the worker from his toil? 10) I have considered the task which God has appointed for men to be busied about.   11) He has made everything appropriate to its time, and has put the timeless into their hearts.   Without men’s ever discovering, from beginnimg to end, the work which God has done.   12) I recognized that there is nothing better than to be glad and to do well during life.   13) For every man, moreover, to eat and drink and enjoy the fruit of all his labor is a gift of God.   14)I recognized that whatever God does will endure forever; there is no adding to it, or taking from it.   Thus has God done that he may be revered.   15)   What now is has already been; what is to be, already is; and God restores what would otherwise be displaced.”

In life we can only live according to Gods ordinances and hold fast to Him and His teachings.   To have lived as such is to be at peace.   The soul thirsts for God!   One day when our appointed time is ‘now’ joy will fill the soul.   Living less that the ‘will of
God’ is to sorrow over what is to come.   For the soul has then not known God, but has delighted in doing his own will.   The teachings of the Holy Scriptures and the Love of the Son of God are mankinds gift from the One true God.   Laziness, and sloth, lead a man to oppose God.   Why?   Because God gave mankind an answer, and example, and truth!   Many oppose Him!   Flesh, and its desires are consuming the world.   Money, and the love of money, for a moment  in time  are devouring a souls for eternity.

THE GREAT CHARIOTEER

The Lord Jesus Christ is the great charioteer.   As in the days of Roman rule when they had their chariot races for entertainment, they came in droves to the games and filled the colosseum,as they do today in filling the stadiums for our games.

Jesus Christ came unto the scene in these days.    It was at this time ‘He’ came to save his people.    To redeem the world from sin.    Living out the ‘Ten Commandments’ for all realize and understand how to live.   Yet, it was to much and they crucified him for the sake of their own will.   This one act, did not default Gods plan, but rather fulfilled it.   For God already knew the hearts of His people.

So too, He had to prove to all He (God) is real.   When one opposes the will of God outrightly, knowing full well He is God, and He will not be pleased, one comitts a mortal sin.   An act so grave against ones soul it is unforgiveable.  Redemption is nescessary.

Jesus Christ,  has the reigns to this great chariot race we are all on.   He is the commander and chief, and only His way is the right way.   Yet because our alotted time is such, we must realize that opposing the direction on this journey with Jesus will bring us to distruction.   Reflecting back to the movie ‘Ten Commandments’ we know what happened to the charioteer who went without the armor of God.   He crashed into destruction.

Finding the love of God is through the blood of the lamb of God, Jesus Christ.   His perfect love manifests  his soul into the soul who calls upon Him to be saved.   Forgiveness is absolute with Jesus Christ.   He sees the heart of each sinner and waits.

Few, very few want the love of Jesus Christ.  Jesus is so perfect that he wants each to achieve the perfect peace that comes through loving and choosing Him.   We can not begin to understand this perfect love.   It must be realized through experience and sacrifice of ones- self for the love of God.     Only then can one profess the beauty of the love of Jesus Christ.

Much like bearing a child for forty weeks, is the fruition of the growth and beauty of this love.  It can not be seen growing and the childs beauty can not be revealed until it is held.   Holding unto faith is holding unto God.   His perfect love through the Lamb of God, His Son, is that same love for us.   As we wait for a child to be born, so God waits for each of us to be reborn!    This can die, just as a child can die before it is born.    Yet in both instances it all goes back to God.    There is no running from God!    The life we lead is on loan.   His spirit living in us is that life.   If we defy God, we will then oppose the great charioteer, and reach eternal damnation.

Coming to realize why we are out of grace with God is through the reflection of the Holy Ten Commandments!   They really work!    They having been tryed again and again  and bring a person to contentment of soul.    Yet, we discover something is distant.   It is the lack of calling upon our Heavenly Father.   His Hearbeat, His Joy and His salvation is His Son Jesus Christ.   He waits.

Matthew Chapter 11 verses 28-30

Come to Me, all of you who are weary and find life burdensome; I will refresh you.   Take My yoke on your shoulders and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble of Heart.   You shall find rest because My yoke is easy and My burden light.”

WAITING

So many grow weary in waiting on the Lord.  Prayer to them, seems futile.  The following scriptures prove the importance of patience in following Christ.  He tests the heart, to prove the worthiness of his ‘followers’.

Book of JOHN Chapter 14  verses 1-4

1)“Do not let your hearts be troubled. Have faith in God and faith in me.”

2)In my Father’s house there are many dwelling places; otherwise, how could I have told you that I was going to prepare a place for you?

3)I am indeed going to prepare a place for you, and then I shall come back to take you with me, that where I am you also may be.

4)You know the way that leads where I go.”

Matthew Chapter 13 verses 13-19″I use parables when I speak to them because they look but do not see, they listen but do not hear or understand. 14)Isaiah’s prophecy is fulfilled in them which says: ‘Listen as you will, you shall not understand, look intently as you will, you shall not see. 15)Sluggish indeed is this people’s heart. They have scarcely heard with their ears, they have firmly closed their eyes; otherwise they might see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their hearts, and turn back to me, and I should heal them.’ 16)”But blest are your eyes because they see and blest are your ears because they hear. 17)I assure you many a saint longed to see what you see but did not see it, to hear it but did not hear it. 18)Mark well, the, the parable of the sower. 19)The seed along the path is the man who hears the message about God’s reign without understanding it.  The Evil one approaches him to steal away what was sown in his mind.”

The Narrow Door: LUKE Chapter 13 verses 23-27

23)Someone asked him,Lord, are they few in number who are to be saved?”24)He replied: “Try to come through the narrow door. Many, I tell you will try to enter and be unable. 25)When once the master of the house has risen to lock the door and you stand outside knocking and saying,’Sir, open for us,’ He will say in reply,’I do not know where your come from.’ 26)Then you will begin to say,’We ate and drank in your company. You taught in our streets.’27 But he will answer, ‘I tell you I do not know where you come from. Away from me you evildoers!’

The Way

lighthouse

leading the way

In speaking with some they told me they were training on the job.   The ‘company handbook’ has the guidelines to the new job.   In traing he told them they must adhere to company policy and they will not have to worry.   Everything will take care of itself.

However, if you do not follow policies and procedures you are out!   Seem simple enough does it not?   Yet, the individual, in his infinite wisdom decided there was to much paper work, and cut corners.   He is out!   The guidelines were set, there were no questions asked, the evidence spoke of itself.   So, who is to blame?

So it is in this life, with its rules and laws.   Yet, many are under the impression that there are not rules to getting to heaven.  No guide lines and no ‘handbook’ no policies and procedures!   Unfortunatley this kind of thinking will put you out!   It would make sense to consider that a Father instructs his children.  Considering this, can you say it makes sense that we all need instruction?   Applied Daily instruction molds and nurtures and comforts.

Finding peace in this life is priceless.   There is nothing more beautiful than peace.  Peace brings contentment of spirit and the soul rests.   When the soul is at rest, the mind is at peace, and contentment of spirit leads the way.

‘The Way’ is what Christ’s teachings were referred to when His apostles first started out on their journey.   It was in Antioch, that they first became known as ‘Christians’.   It is significant that  the Lords teachings were first referred to as ‘the way’ and later ‘Christian’.   Or looking more closely, ‘ Christ in.’ When Christ is in, Christ’way is eminent.

The policies and prodedures of attaining eternal salvation are Christ.  For
Christ is of God, The  Son of God.    God Our Father instructs and through Christ the peace abounds.    Everything then takes care of itself.

MIRACLES

The Annunciation of MaryThe definition of a miracle, per webster’s dictionary:

“An extraordinary event manifesting divine intervention in human affairs.   An extremely outstanding or unusual event, thing or accomplishement.”   In the Bible, the origin of miracles, and the occurrance of them is so frequent that I would take pages to list all of the ‘miracles’ begotten by God or His Son Jesus.   For  they are present in the ‘Old Testament and the ‘New Testament’.   Still, they are present today.   Yet, we hear so little of the marvelous works of Our God.   If Jesus stood before us today, would they believe or  scoff at Him?   I would expect they would probably ‘stone him’!   The unbelievers are more vocal than the believers; it would seem.   Even, back in the days of Jesus.  5000 came to listen, and were given food to eat.   He took 5 loaves and 2 fish, and fed them all with twelve baskets left over.

Later:   Jesus fed 4000.   At that time he had 7 loaves and a 3 small fish,(few).   He fed all 4000, and had 7  hampers full.

Yet, after all that they crucified Him!   Why is it when one is so loving it is the nature of people to take advantage, ridecule, and patronize.  Yet, they betrayed Him.  After Jesus loved them through the anguish of their days of trial and torment, He stood alone and abandoned.   Have you been one of the few that have stood with Jesus or are you one of the many who have abandoned Him?  Consider yourself abandoned!  It hurts, and the tears flow!  You will never find a man or woman to stand next to you.  All will betray you in your trials except for Jesus and Mary.   For she was with Her Son through it all.

Today, Jesus is still at work in His followers.  His devoted friends.  Who are they?   They are those that call upon the name of Jesus Christ to be saved, and do not drop the ball under persecution.   Persecution is all part of friendship!  His is the truest friendship there is.  Yet few care to embrace this light of love and friendship.   Just as back then, people are betraying Him. Today, the voices of the believers are expected to be silenced.   Some take their crosses down, when a little chastisment occurs.   Some deny Him when asked, Just as Peter denyed Him three times before the cock crowed, just as Jesus said He would.   Only Christ  can make each one of us ‘strong’.

One of the many verses in the Bible is: ‘I can do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens me.’  Philipians 4:13  So, when Jesus comes to you when you call His name, will you remember Him when He needs you?

SILENCE IS GOLDEN

Can you sit in the solitude of silence?   Some people must have noise around them.

Do you ‘need’ noise?   The real question is: Are you comfortable with you?  When we sit in silence we can ‘hear’ and ‘feel’ the presnce of God.   When there is to much going on then we lose ourselves.   To be in touch with our inner-self is to be at peace.  If being at peace is not possiable for you, and noise is the answer, then maybe you need Jesus!   Quiet, solitude, and peace are one.  They are a comfort to us.

TOOLS OF THE TRADE

PietaIn preparing for a craft, we decide what tools we need to persue what is our hearts desire.   In so doing, we contemplate where to start.   Often times it starts with ‘higher education’.  Yet, in some instances we desire to be mentored by someone who is a ‘Master’ of his craft.  In the the case of ‘MICHELANGELO,’ He was mentored.   His Father, so desired ‘higher education’ for his son; but Michelangelo had other ‘cravings’!  He, through a series of events that occurred to his Fathers employment situation faltering, ‘coming upon hard times’ found himself relocating.    It was this circumstance which caused Michelangelo to take interest in a ‘craftsmans’ work of art.   His Father being ‘wise’ made a ‘barter’ with the ‘craftsman to mentor his son.    The rest is history.

If you were to read the story of this wonderful genius, you would be in aw!   For he followed the cravings of his hearts desire.   In so finding the ‘grace of God’ upon his shoulder.   For this artist is so ‘blessed’  his name is renown even today!   Who today would not vie for Michelangelo to mentor him in his craft?

So wonderful are his works that to travel the world to see them becomes a hearts desire.   Yet, few have the opportunity.   The ‘Sisteen Chapel’ in Rome, and the sculpure of ‘David’, and the very famous, ‘Pieta’!    Apparently the only signed work by this artist, is his ‘Pieta’!    This ’emotionally moving’ sculpure depicts the  “Blessed Vigin Mary” Holding Her Crucified Son!  Another very famous piece is his painting of the ‘Creation of Man’.   This is Our Heavenly Father touching the Finger of Adam; whereby giving life to mankind!   The genius of Michelangelo speaks for itself.   No words can describe such a gift!   Then we can ask, Why did God choose Michelangelo to be the name that is recognized above so many other marvelous craftsman?    One can only surmise the answer.   God looks into the ‘heart’ of each of His ‘children’.    Perhaps Michelangelo offored His life and work to the ‘Glory of God’ before He began each piece.   God, thereby finding him highly favored above of all, due to his humility in asking his beloved creator for ‘His Devine’ intervention and help!     For God is a just God.   We all have equal rights and love of God.   Yet, some do not choose  friendship and love with God in their daily lives.    This proves to be an unraveling of the human spirit.   This unraveling occurrs suddely and without innate awareness!   So too, Does the power of prayer present an innate awarenss to the greatest love of all, that of God Our Father, through the love of His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ!    The love of God unfolds through this perfect sacrifice when allowed into any heart!

So, it choosing the frienship of God the Father, we need to choose our ‘tools of the trade’!    For, if you so desire the ‘love of God’ in your life, you will not delay in inviting Jesus Christ into your heart as your Lord and Savior.   For it is through Him all blessing flow!    If you disire this great love this great joy, this insurmoutable happiness, then you will, on bended knee open your heart to Jesus and Tell Him you so desire Him more than  anything, to come into your heart and make a home in you.   For in so doing, Jesus will dance with Joy, and the Angels will sing rejoicing, a canticle of Praise to God, for another soul has been saved and realized the magnificent love of Jesus Christ; that He (Jesus) did not die in vain for you!

Having done that, the growth and experience of the love that surpasses all understanding is better understood and realized in reading the Bible.   You will discover there are many
Bibles.   I enjoy the “New American Cathlic Bible, and the Ignatius Catholic Study Bible, (New Testament).   In applying the “Ten Commandments” to your heart and keeping them ever ready, will engage your mind to a closer covenant with God.   Having embraced that, realize there are seven deadly sins, learn them and pray for strength to stay far from them, for they are Satans Tools!  Having fallen into them one can easily fall away from the Peace of God.   The Peace and Grace of God are experienced in applying His statutes to the heart and life we live.   There is much to know and learn for God is infinite, and you will never tire of Him and his teachings.   He will draw you in and never leave you.  If you desire Him He will never forsake you.   For you have been bought and paid for by His only begotten Son, The Lamb of God, Jesus  Christ!   Amen!

PERSECUTION AND FORGIVENESS

Jesus speaks of Persecution and forgiveness in the book of Matthew Chapter 5 verses:43-48

43″ You have heard the commandment, “you shall love your countryman but hate your enemy.”  44)”My command to you is: love your enemies, pray for your persecutors.” 45)”This will prove that you are sons of your heavenly Father, for his sun rises on the bad and the good, he rains on the just and the unjust. 46) If you love those who love you, what merit is there in that? “47)” And if you greet your brothers only, what is so praiseworthy about that?  Do not the pagans do as much?” 48)” In a word, you must be made perfect as your heavenly Father is perfect.”

Have you ever been persecuted?   It is not an easy thing to deal with!   Persecution Bites!   It cuts deeply and Our Lord knows that!   It is essential that we learn to forgive.   Forgiveness is equally as difficult!   To be ‘hurt’ so deeply and to know that salvation is only through a pure heart, one needs to  ask for help to forgive.   Jesus is the mediator between God and Man!  He is the Lord!   He suffered every sort of hurt.  Betrayal, Persecution, and abandonment.   Not to mention the physical abuse imposed.  He asks no more of us than what He has already incurred for us.   Very, Very difficult;  that is why He tells us to ask.   He says many, many times to ask.    However, very few do.   They carry anger, and grudges, and even hate with them.   The sins we all carry before we ask for forgiveness are similar to weights.  When the sins are layed down the burden is lifted and the soul is refreshed.   The Roman Catholic Church has ‘the sacrament of reconciliation, ‘often referred to as ‘confession’.  This ‘Sacrament’ is essential to peace of mind, and purity of heart.   When one confesses his sins, he is laying down a load.   The experience is real.   The Sacrament is real, and the forgiveness is real!

In Matthew Chapter 7  Our Lord speaks of ‘Avoiding Judgement and ‘The Power of Prayer”

About judgement He says in verse 1)“If you want to avoid judgment  stop passing judgment.2)    Your verdict on others will be the verdict passed on you.   The measure with which you measure will be used to measure you.” 3)Why look at the speck in your brother’s eye when you miss the plank in your own?”

Then in verses 7-10 He speaks on the ‘Power of Prayer’:

7)”Ask,and you will recieve. Seek and you will find. Knock and it will opened to you.   8)For the one who asks, recieves.   The one who seeks, finds.  The who knocks, enters.   9) Would one of you hand his son a stone when he asks for a loaf 10)  or a poisonous snake when he asks for a fish?   11) If you with all your sins,  know how to give your children what is good, how much more will your heavenly Father give good things to anyone who asks him!”

On Reconciliation:

In the Book of Matthew Chapter 5 verses 23-26

23″If you bring your gift to the alter and there recall that your brothr has anything against you, 24) leave your gift at the alter, go first to be reconciled with your brother, and then come and offer your gift.   25) Lose no time settle with your opponent while on your way to court with him.   Otherwise your opponent may hand you over to the judge, who will hand you over to the guard, who will throw you into prison.   26)I warn you, you will not be released until you have paid the last penny.”

In the Sacrament of Reconciliation, ‘the sinner’ is reflective of their offenses to God.   This opportunity, and time of reflection enables’ the sinner’ to come to terms with his or her offenses to God.   It is essential to be mindful of ones ‘short-comings’ so one may work daily to become more ‘Christ-like.’    Through the blood of the “Lamb of God” we are forgiven and made perfect.   Yet, in being reunited with Christ throught the sacrament of Reconciliation we attain perfection.   Perfection is a constant battle daily.   We must choose to become like Christ, and not ‘take Him for Granted!’   Many presume that knowing Jesus died for our sins is enough.   It is not enough.   We are to strive to become Christ through our actions and in our thoughts.  The Roman Catholic Church is the Church founded by Jesus Christ.   He appointed Peter as His first Pope.   The teachings of the church are vast and can no way be covered in a mere writing in an afternoon.   Yet it is the intent of this author to enlighten the reader of the teachings of the ‘Bride of Christ’.   The church.

In Ephsians Chapter 3 verses 13-18

Saint Paul speaks on the topic of: ALL UNITED IN CHRIST

13)”But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near through the blood of Christ . 14) It is he who is our peace, and who made the two of us one by breaking down the barrier of hostility that kept us apart. 15) In his own flesh he abolished the law with its commands and precepts, to create in himself one new man from us who had been two and to make peace. 16) reconciling both of us to God in one body through his cross, which put that enmity to death, 17) He came and “announced the good news of peace to you who were far off, and to those who were near”; 18) through him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father.”
