Gifts

Merry Christmas!  Gifts! they are Christmas, are they not?   Are we  not consumed with ‘gifts’?   I know I am!   thinking and pondering to give the very best to those I love so very much.

Then in preparing for the ‘Holy Holiday’ with my decorating and planning I was listening to my Christmas music.   I have all types of music for this holiday.    The one I chose was a song with the ‘Little Drummer Boy’.   I listened to the words of the music..” I have nothing to give a Newborn King.’   Shall I play for Him?  ‘ Mary nodded !     “I played my best for Him”..

I thought about my best.  ” What Have I Given this New Born King, that is my best”    I thought, ‘What would He want?’   He’s not here!     Then, I thought, ‘Forgiveness’!    I thought about that.    I thought, “I’m not angry with anyone.”    Then I realized most recently someone had shared with me their anger toward another.    They asked my what I would do.

I immediately said, ”You have to forgive, and pray for that person”.    They said, “Why should I?”    “They hurt me!”     Because, I said, ‘That is what Jesus wants. ”

When we choose to pray for another, whether they have hurt us or not. . .Prayer does indeed move mountains.    This person who wrongs you will come    and apologize.    Perhaps not right away, but they will!    How do I know?   “I live it!”    I try to always think, “What Would Jesus Do?”    What pleases Him is what I wish to do!

To be Christ like is not easy.   It is love!    How far are you ready to go to receive love?

FRIENDS?

So what do you expect my friend?   Is it love that brings friendship?  I for one have been betrayed, and searched my soul to understand.

It is the ‘hurt’ that consumed me that prompted me to search.   I finally decided to look at prayer.   I wanted to know.    I did not know where to begin.   So I thought maybe this Jesus that I hear so much about might be real.

I started to pray…I hurt so badly and the betrayal consumed me.   Where was this Jesus?   How can I know Him.     I started …. Jesus I don’t know you, but everyone says, ‘Jesus’ and

so I am asking…I want to know….

I am going to keep asking  because I want to know who you are.     I heard “I Love You”   I thought I  must be crazy.    Then I  heard again…”I Love You”.    But I don’t know you, I said.    “I know You”  He said.    I sat there.    Then I said…”I hurt”.   He said “I know”.

I said, “you Know”?   Then it was quiet.   I never heard anything more…and then the tears fell.    I thought…somebody knows me and loves me…I am alone and betrayed, and abandoned….then I heard…”I was too.”    “huh”   I said.   I continued to wonder.   Yet my tears kept falling…the hurt kept hurting, and the betrayal lingered.    He then said, “Come to Me.”   I said, ‘I am here.’    He said, “Come to Me you who are weary and I will give you rest”.    I said,” I want that”.   ‘  How do I get that?’     Then I heard …”Ask and You shall receive.”   ‘Okay’, I said, ‘I want you too. ‘  “Show me the way Lord”…I said.     He said, ” I am the way the truth and the life…He who comes to me will never be hungry again.”

Matthew:  7:7-11

7) “Ask, and it will be given you;  seek, and you will find, knock, and it will be opened to you.   8) For everyone who asks receives, and he who seek find, and to him who knocks it will be opened. 9) Or what man of you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone?   10) Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent?   11) If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is heaven give good things to those who ask Him!”

TRUST

When someone says ‘trust me,’ we always think twice.   Circumstances come and we feel reluctant and uneasy…especially  when some one says ‘trust me.’    I love you!

When trust is essential we doubt.    Why is that?

When the Blessed Virgin Mary was incarnated with Jesus,  she said, Behold I am the handmade of the Lord, let it be done to me according to thy word!

When the Blessed Mother said this, she was approximately fourteen years old.     Think what courage and obedience this took.    To forge into the unknown and proceed with no likelihood of any ‘plans’ of her own.

She did not have a ‘husband’. Think of the persecution she was accepting.   Unknown to her, yet still ‘trusting.’

Of course God tested her by this.   God chose to ‘assign’ Joseph to Mary after He had ‘blessed’ Her with our Lord!    Joseph being an upright man refused.   Then Joseph had a dream.   It was then He accepted what God desired.

As they went forth they ‘trusted’ against all odds.   No matter what they came up against.    Many times I am sure.

Another time of great ‘testing’ was when there was ‘no room in the Inn’.    Mary young and unaware what was coming, bringing a child into the world and no Mother to comfort her, she trusted  ‘God’ and her spouse; Joseph.

Though she was without sin, Mary was still ‘human’.    Three times they were told there was ‘no room’.   Joseph must have prayed fervently asking, ‘why’?  Perhaps saying, “Father ‘Why?’ This is Your Son.’    Mary in great pain, I am sure, was praying fervently as well.    Finally they were told, I have a clean stable.   You are welcome to use that.    They had no choice.   The time was ‘Now’.   If you have ever been near someone who is about to deliver a baby, you know it is ‘immediate’.

Consider how young she was.

Then again, Our Blessed Mother was at a wedding.    Jesus was gone.    She could not find him.    He was missing for three days and nights.   Again I am sure Mary was praying.   Remembering this ‘child’ was the ‘Son of God’.   Thinking and wondering.   Mary found Jesus teaching the elders in the temple.           Jesus was as God desired.     Never doubting!

Being human, I am sure Mary  wondered.    Yet  never denying God His will.   Remember that though  Jesus was divine, He was of ‘flesh’.   A man.     Suffering and feeling as we do.     Yet He too ‘trusted’.   Saying to the Father, ‘Not my will, but Thy will be done.’

Trust.   It is a constant.   We live from day to day trusting ourselves, believing we know.    Unless we have come to Jesus;  Called upon Him, ‘to come into our hearts and beg for forgiveness.    For it is in calling upon Jesus and asking for forgiveness that we extend the ultimate gift….trusting to the death…accepting another,    Jesus Christ.   His will be done.   For you see, God, so pleased with His Son turned the keys to the kingdom over to Him.

Consider: “Thy will be done Lord”   Trust!   For He has a plan…for us, just as He did Mary and Jesus.

The reward: Eternal Life.    What a reward it is….God ever faithful, “Jesus Christ”  King of Kings!    Mary Our Blessed Mother….Queen of Heaven and Earth!

REJCTED

Have you ever been in love?   It escapes us.   We can not know it.      It can not be explained.   Yet being in love is a personal experience.    It can not be compared.   It is shown by act.    When in love we display acts indicative of the feeling.    Yet people can fake it.    Choose to fake it to be accepted.    Yet it is elusive.    Empty and hurting through a pretending display of lost love.    Rejected.    Laughed at, scoffed at ,rejected and unaccepted.    What lays within?    Why?  Why do we feel,  If we have no soul?
Can we love without a soul?   Can we love and feel unloved?   People kill for love.   Any and every circumstance can lead to self destruction.

Think.    Do we care?    Does caring not bring forth love?   Many types of love are, but unrecognized.    Why does it hurt?     Have you ever been hurt from a rejected love?    Tears flow and aching consumes us.    For how long?

Many hurt from lost love.     They trusted their very being one, and that one ignored and rejected that love.

That love felt consumed and rejected is THE LAMB OF GOD…JESUS CHRIST!   He suffers with us, and for us.    Rejected!    He feels our pain as His own.     He knows. He lives it.

Heavenly Days

“On earth as it is in Heaven”.   If we profess to know where this line comes from, then we also profess to believe in heaven; do we not?

Heaven is glory to God.   Through the ‘Lamb of God’ heaven has been revealed on earth.    He, the Lamb of God told us how to pray,  when asked.    He gave us the “Our Father”.

He told us to do what is in heaven through this prayer, did he not?   Jesus Christ,  the  Lamb of God, the only begotten Son of God, came so we may live, love, and know the love of the Father.

IF we wish to live as they do in heaven, we must do as they, in order to feel, love, and experience the grace and glory of God the Father through the love of the Lamb of God.

If we wish to feel the very presence of heaven on earth, we must pray.   Pray unceasingly.   Then,  in so doing we show God our great faith.   That faith is fostered and blessed with grace and peace, joy and love.     We receive what was lost.

He, Our Lord speaks of  planting seeds.    These seeds He speaks of, are our prayers.   These prayers fertilize the vineyard of God.   Earth.   For heaven gives glory to God, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit through prayer.   Then we have fulfilled Our Lords command.   We dwell ‘On earth as it is in Heaven.’

CRAVINGS

Have you ever been so in love that you craved to see that person?  Craving someone or something is incessant.   If it is love, it can hurt.    Hurt without end.   Being in love is lovely if that love is returned and enjoyed.    However, we know how it hurts to be without.   Being in love and being rejected is painful beyond all telling.   This pain can only be understood if it is or has been experienced.

Rejection often times brings on anger.    Do you think Jesus felt rejected?   Do you think He felt hurt?  Do you think Jesus felt anger?

The man was human.    His spirit divine.   So, do you think He still feels?

Though not given much thought today, He still is.   He still feels and still knows.

Until we think of Our Lord as man, we can not recognize Him as one of us.

Perhaps you will say that is blasphemous.    Yet, Jesus went to great lengths to befriend us.

His friendship is rejected by most.    No time. No need, No reason.

Hurt?    Maybe.     Maybe when you hurt you can think of Him.   He tried ,cried, and died!   All for what?   Does He matter to you?    Do you know that you matter to Him?   He will go to find just one of us.     That friend is you.   He is the best friend you will ever have, know, and serve.     Rejection is choice.    Calling on Him to come into your heart is the greatest gift you will ever receive, and the greatest gift you can give.

No greater love has a man, than to lay down his life for his friend.   He is your friend.   Are you His?   Only if He hears from you can you know Him.

Cravings.   They come in all forms.

Mine

It’s mine and I found it! It might be yours but you lost it and I found it.   ‘Well, if you left it behind, it is mine now.

Have you ever had this happen to you?   You know who has it, but will not return it?

Have you ever looked at someone, and thought, ” That’s mine?

How about,  He’ll never know, I’ll tell him I was there.

What difference does it make?    It does not matter does it?   It’s just this once.

Do you think it matters what we do, or what we say, or where we go?   Does it?

Say,   ” I am only one.”   There it is just one.

You are not one.   Neither am I.    We are multitudes.    We are the garden of God.

What does that mean?    God planted each of us.   We are His garden.     He looks upon His garden constantly checking, the planted.   What part of His garden is blooming?

What part of His garden is wilting?    Does it need to be pulled out?   It has no root, no beauty.    It has refused to accept His nurturing?   He has sent ‘light’ so it will grow and become rooted.    Then the blossoms will come, and the joy of His garden will fill His heart!

In the garden of God, ‘Where are you’?     Are you blossoming within His light?   Are you allowing His gardening to take root in your life?

God is the gardener.   We are His planted.   He planted a garden, and watched it grow.   He has gardened  through the ages.   When He tires of His garden no one knows.    We do know one day He will.    Then He will pull the beautiful from His garden and put them on His table.    The others He will throw  away and burn.    They are of no use to  Him.   He tried to save them.   He even sent them  ‘Light’ to help nurture them.

In the garden of God where are you?    Are you among His lighted?   His Light emanates from you?    Or are you refusing His nurturing in His garden?

We are all in the garden of God.   We can accept or reject the love He sends.   Loving Him is accepting Him.   He is the ‘Living Ten Commandments’.    His rules reign.   For centuries.

Remember, It is Gods garden!    Are you a  weed, or a flower?

Only God knows.   Are you talking to Him?   Has He heard from you?   Can He tell His little plant is trying to grow and bloom?

unfounded

” Don’t preach to me”!    “If God exists He would not allow hate, and disease.    “Don’t tell me God is real!”  “If you can prove it to me, then I’ll believe.”

How many people feel this way?   Do you?   anger manifests itself in hate.    Hate is unforgivness.    If you are “mad”  at someone, you”hate” them.   This constitues lack of love for God.    why?  Because God is Love.

God does exist, and is real.    Prove it, your say.   So now I will.   Will you try this test with me?   If you really want to have ‘faith’ you will.

Peace!   How many want it?   Really?

The Ten Commandments are the real God. Once applied to life they breathe!    “HUH”   you say.   Truly. it works.   I am sharing what I have done.  God never fails!  He knows right now you are reading, watching and trying to believe.   So here are His “Ten Commandments!!

1)” I am the Lord thy God, who brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.   Thou shalt not have strange gods before Me.  thou shalt not make to thyself a graven thing, nor the likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or in the earth beneath, nor of those that are in the water under the earth. Thou shalt not adore them, nor serve them.

2)Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord  thy God  in vain.

3) Remember thou keep holy the Sabbath day.

4) Honor thy father and mother.

5) Thou shalt not kill.

6) Thou shalt not commit adultery.

7) Thou shalt not steal.

8) Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.

9) Thou shalt not covet they neighbors wife.

10) Thou shalt not covet thy neighbors goods.

Who gave the Ten Commandments?

GOD Himself gave the Ten Commandments to Moses on Mount Sinai, and Christ our Lord confirmed them.

Interesting is it not; that GOD could write something so profound, so many years ago, that it is unchanging,.   Only GOD could put forth ten rules that could stand for all eternity and bring forth peace.

They do bring forth peace.   If you desire peace, herein lays the answer.   I started with learning these and applying them daily to my life.   Only God never fails!   HE will give peace.
For sure and for  certain.   He always is and always will be.   His love never fails!   Seek God and you will find peace!   a peace that surpasses all understanding!   Fulfilled to promote God sent us a very part of Himself; Jesus Christ!    He is God.    Love the Father, love His rules and love life. a peaceful, joyful life!

THE LAST CHAPTER

If you knew  the last days of your life were upon you, what would  you do?

Would you change anything?   Would you make any amends?   Would you make new friends, or celebrate with the old?     Life, every day does unfold.

Yet, reality is, we will not always know  the hour.  That  being the case,   we know the           evident.   Life is fleeting.    The Bible refers it as a ‘vapor’.

Reflect !

Remember, We are His!     Him being Our Heavenly Father.

Therein lies the answer to the equation.    The equation being, the reason why we must die…because we are His!    He has given us life, so we may bring Him joy, and praise and thanksgiving!   Once we  have fulfilled His expectations He will call  us home.   If He sees that we will not or refuse His will then He will make the call.   God is and always will  be. The earth is His footstool.    The heavens are His kingdom.   Therefore no-one and nothing shall offend Him, the Lord God Almighty!   Amen

Book of Matthew: Chapter 6 verses19-21

19 “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and decay destroy, and thieves break in and steal.   20 But store up treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor decay  destroys, nor thieves break in and steal.   21 for where your treasure is, there also will your heart be.”

DEEPEST SORROW

When the deepest sorrow comes upon the heart,   and   it feels as though  there is no where to turn, and every where and every thing goes wrong, and everyone  seems angry and does not belong.     When life’s journey is out of place and   no circumstance seems to hold God’s grace.   When   then when will there be peace…

Sometimes the ache fills the soul.     The tears fall and no one can know.    You look up to God and say…. what did I do be this way?     No answer comes and the ache remains.    The tears continue and the pain sustains.    So then  you pray, please God help me to accept your way, that peace may come and fill my day.

Then you turn your eyes to HIM and say,   Oh Lord  To  You  I Give  My  Sorrow And  PAIN That  You May  Use  It To Save  a  Soul  THAT would  Never  Know   Your  Perfect  love.    So that you may not have died in vain and I may have made a difference for you once again.

With Deepest Love Lord, Paula
