PRAISE

If you knew the power of prayer, then you would surely sing a song of Praise to God Our Father!

Why, you say?   To God a prayer is a gift of purest love.   It rises before the throne of God and settles at His holy feet.   Thereby creating a  river that flows before the throne of God.   Then, He when pleased, sends for the purifying rains to cover the earth, and refresh the living.   Thereby creating a anthem of lovliness back unto His children.

This beautiful gift :  It’s  power,  is pure, lovely, and unselfish, is sweet inscense to God.

He does not look for gainful goodness, but purity of heart.   He wishes only to know our hearts are given to Him freely.   For our hearts are really His hearts.   He waits to see, if we will return to Him, what He has indeed shared with us.

For having shared with us, He has taught us the greatest gift …… giving!   For in giving we are loving.  Loving can only be when the heart is full.   When the heart is full, then God has blessed us with great favor.

To know love is to know joy.  Joy can not be explained!   It must be experienced!   For it is different for each of us.  It may be called by some as ‘euphoria’.   Then again, we can not explain…for to explain would be to tell the exactness of the ‘Glory of God!’   It is His alone to give.   The degree of each, for each, is subject to the openess of ones heart.   For a pure heart crys when one crys, aches when one aches, and dies when one dies.   This is the love of God manifest in His own, His child.

To be His child; the companionship of a child to his Father, is just that.   If the relationship is devoid of union, then it is subject to dying.   For all love must be nurtured.  As love is to a Father, so is love to God.

He, being Our Father, waits.  He waits on each of us.

Will we return the ‘heart’ that He gave us so freely, with purest love.  Or will it return to Him devoid of love?   Hardened, and unfeeling?  For to experience the gift of life, one must suffer.   To suffer is to grow in love, openly and without regard to humility, but rather for the fullness of life.   For this is the love of a Father to His children.

So when you love someone, and you can not tell them, you can not show them, then Pray for them.   For this is a far greater gift to he/she that you love, than any other power on earth!   For it rises to the throne of God,  pleasing to His senses,  bringing joy to His heart!

Hymn of Praise: Book of Luke:  Chapter 19 verses 21-22   Jesus speaks

21)”At that moment Jesus rejoiced in the Holy Spirit and said: ‘ I offor you praise, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because what you have hidden from the learned and the clever you have revealed to the merest children.   22) Yes, Father,  you have graciously willed it so.   Everything has been given over to me by my Father.   No one knows the Son except the Father and no one knows the Father except the Son-and anyone to whom the Son wishes to reveal him.'”

WAIT

When we find ourselves alone, we often find ourselves waiting.   Usually for someone, but occasionally something!  Anything from the check in the mail, to hearing about a job offer, to the results from the doctor!

Yet, life is indeed a waiting game!   We are offered numerous opportunities to stop and reflect.   Typically, it is about what has to be done before the close of day!   The stress of life.    We often find ourselves ‘inflicted by someone Else’s stress.’   You know what I mean-the tension they exude toward you or I because they are in the middle of something.

Unfortunately, we build a wall around ourselves when we do this;  We close out the spirit we encounter, and extend ‘ill-will’!   Then our love of neighbor is lost and this contributes to other offenses.

The journey we are on is not for ourselves but rather a life-long test given by Our Heavenly Father to each of His children!   It is similar to a Father that we face at the end of the day.   He address us and says, ‘Did you get your chores done today?’   When one knows he/she must face their ‘Dad’ with an explanation as to what was done, then determination to task is likely.

Why?   Most all of us will consider ‘Dad’ the disciplinarian within the home!   So it is with Our Heavenly Father!  It is His rules that must be met.   We all know that when something is not accomplished, we face Father’s wrath!   Depending on the offense and the number of offenses the Father typically considers, then decides whether ‘admonishment is warranted!

So it is with God Our Father.   For God has given us a prelude to heaven here on earth.   Really!   We can listen to the words given by Our Lord Jesus Christ, and Know it is true!

…’On earth as it is in Heaven’.   Preparation friends!    God Our Father is indeed preparing us for heaven!   We have so much time to achieve the ‘task’ assigned to us!   To each of us He has extended duties.   They vary for each of us according to the ‘gifts’ He has given us.  Along with these marvelous gifts, He has given us a ‘cross’ to carry.   Yes, He has, and Jesus is the anchor.   His cross was first.   His cross was and is for us.   So, the Father of us all, has sent His Only Son to lead us, free us, and teach us the way.   This perfect example is for the choosing.   You can do it alone, or learn from another.   That is the bottom line.

So if you are so arrogant that you figure you can do it alone; that is your right.   However, remember this: ‘you have only so much time to get it right’!   The Son of God is the teacher.

His instruction, which encompasses every aspect to living, from being a farmer, to caring for the sick, to healing the ‘broken hearted’ through prayer, as a Priest or Pastor, to parenting a child, and teaching them their studies.  God took care of it all!

Finding your way to Jesus is finding your way to the Heavenly Father’s grace.   For His favor is what we all want, is it not?   Does it not please each of us to know that our Father is pleased and so has rewarded us with unforeseen and unexpected blessings.   So as a Father has loved us, so has Our Heavenly Father loved us.

Go with God.  Keep His commandments!   Let the Son show you the way!   You will find the grace and peace that surpasses all understanding!

Book of John Chapter 15: verses  9-12  Jesus Speaks

9 )”As the Father has loved me, so I have loved you.   Live on in my Love.   10)You will live in my love if you keep my commandments, even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and live in his love.11) All this I tell you that my joy may be yours and your joy may be complete.   12)This is my commandment: love one another as I have loved you.”

CRITICISM

You would have to be dead, not to have ever encountered criticism.   There is no lacking of criticism, now, or ever.

People have a way of  ‘belittling, and maligning each other, without realizing they are doing it.   It is so common in some that,  you can’t help but notice  their bitterness.

People of all  ages ridicule each other, in all facets of living.   From work, to home to play-ground.   The compassion that is needed becomes lost when understanding is lost.   The two seem to go hand in hand.

However, encountering criticism, it is understood it happens.   Yet, what of one who grows up with criticism?    Will this reduce the character of the child, and affect his demeanor throughout his life?

Criticism, is so harsh to the heart that the person often rises into anger, and hostility.   Yet, again it can bring one to tears, depending on the occurance of the  event.   (What was said, who said it, and how it came to be, all factor in.)

When we choose to love one another, we choose to impress within our hearts that we care as deeply about another as we do ourselves.   Difficult?   Perhaps!  Yet, the defining factor here is the ‘common denominator’ to living.   Jesus is the perfect one.   He is the teacher, and He instructs.   Without Him, we can not understand the harshness of who we are, and how we present ourselves to others.   We put on the ‘holier than thou’ attitude, and are convinced we are already ‘perfect’!

Unfortunately, this often begins very young, usually in grade school.  It is here that children learn of competition, and rival for recognition.

It can be said, the teacher is good!   The class-room is disciplined and the attention is perfect.   Yet, when children compete, in sports, and tests, and ‘friendship’ the application of encountering the feelings are not usually understood.   It is then the ‘picking’ begins.

Preparing for life is not easy.  It takes daily instruction and far more guidance than what is given.  For children do not understand why!   When they are not taught the reason and given an explanation for how they feel, they become angry.   This is usually directed at another.  Well into adulthood.

Unfortunately people are complacent about the rearing of children.    They put them in the ‘private schools’, send them to the ‘best’ for instruction and guidance, and feel they have done the best, because they ‘spent’ the most!

Children know no difference.   If they are given the best, and they know nothing else, and someone else has less, is there someone there to teach them not to ridicule or persecute, or criticise?    One thing we can be sure of…..prejudice has no color!   It is out-rightly ugly!

So, if you are the richest, or the smartest, or the prettiest, or the most popular, or the most athletic, or the most famous, who-ever, or what-ever your station in life is, know this…we are all equal in the eyes of God!   God Our Father will and does look at our hearts.   If we are critical, brutal, hateful, and unkind to each other, we are far from the grace of God!   For God is love!   Pure Love!   So if you are hating, holding a grudge, or gossiping, and lying, then there is indeed work to be done.

For if we all stood before the throne of God, and all He saw was each heart, what would He see of yours?   Would you feel proud that you had loved so completely, or ashamed that you had hated so intensely?

Where were you when they crucified  My Lord?   Do you know of His wounds, His sorrows, His tears, His Abandonment, Betrayal, and loneliness?

For it is through Him that all things come into perspective.    Once you know Him, you will have the epiphany your soul has been thirsting for.

Book of Proverbs: Chapter 4 verses 1-4  “Wisdom: The Supreme Guide of Men

1) “Hear , o children, a father’s instruction, be attentive, that you may gain understanding!   2)Yes, excellent advice I give you; my teaching do not forsake.  3 )When I was my fathers child, frail, yet the darling of my mother, 4) He taught me, and  said to me: ‘Let your heart hold fast my words, keep my commands that you may live!'”

ANGELS

If you have ever had the awesome experience of encountering an angel, you know they are luminescent!   They ‘shimmer’!   So lovely are God’s heavenly creatures, that light emanates around them.   Their beauty supersedes all human understanding!

From the dawn of time (Genesis) within the present day, unto the  end of time(Revelations), God has chosen to send us His heavenly hosts to protect us, guide us and enlighten us.   They are an extention of Our Heavenly  Fathers love, that we may know He is with us daily.

In First Kings Chapter 19 verse  7

7)…”But the Angel of the Lord came back a second time, touched him, and ordered, “Get up and eat, else the journey will be too long for you!”

Again in the Book of Luke Chapter 1 verses 26-33  Announcement of the Birth of Jesus:

26)” In the sixth month, the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a town of Galilee named Nazareth, 27) to a virgin betrothed to a man named Joseph, of the house of David.   The virgins name was Mary.   28)Upon arriving, the angel said to her: “Rejoice, O highly favored daughter!   The Lord is with you.   Blessed are you among women.”   29)She was deeply troubled by his words, and wondered what his greeting meant.   30)   The angel went on to say to her: “Do not fear, Mary.  You have found favor with God.   31) You shall conceive and bear a son and give him the name of Jesus.   32)  Great will be his dignity and he will be called  Son of the Most High.   The Lord God  will give him the throne of David his father.   He will rule over the house of Jacob forever.   33)   and his reign will be without end.”

Book of Genesis Chapter 19: 12-13 Destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah

12)”Then the angels said to Lot: “Who else belongs to you here?  Your sons (sons-in law) and your daughters and all who belong to you in the city-take them away from it!   13)We are about to destroy this place, for the outcry reaching the LORD against those in the city is so great that he has sent us to destroy it.”

Book of Revelations Chapter 14  verses 6-13

6)” Then I saw another angel flying in mid heaven, the herald of everlasting good news to the whole world, to every  nation and race, language and people.   7)He said in a loud voice:   “Honor God and give him glory, for his time has come to sit in judgment.   Worship the Creator of heaven and earth, the Creator of the sea and the springs.”

8)  A second Angel followed and cried out:

“Fallen, fallen Babylon the great, which made all the nations drink poisoned wine of her lewdness!”

9)A third angel followed the other and said in a loud voice: ” If anyone worship the beast or its image, or accept its mark on his forehead or hand, 10) he too will drink the wine of God’s wrath, poured full strength into the cup of his anger.   He will be tormented in burning sulphur before the holy angels and before the Lamb, 11) and the smoke of their torment shall rise forever and ever.   There shall be no relief day or night for those who worship the beast or its image or accept the mark of its name.”  12)This is what sustains the holy ones, who keep the commandments of God and their faith in Jesus.”

13)  I heard a voice from heaven say to me: “Write this down: Happy now are the dead who die in the Lord!”   The Spirit added, ” Yes, they shall find rest from their labors, for their good works accompany them.”

The following are two ‘Angel Prayers’ to guide your way:

ANGEL OF GOD

Angel of God, My guardian dear, to whom God’s love commits me here, Ever this day be at my side, to light and guard, to rule and guide.   AMEN

PRAYER TO SAINT MICHAEL:

Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in the day of battle.   Be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil.   May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou O Prince of heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl through the world seeking the ruin of souls.   AMEN

Make yourself familiar with the angels, and behold them frequently in spirit; for without being seen they are present with you.”        Saint Francis de Sales

ESTRANGED

When someone turns to you with a confidence, it is most difficult to offer anything other than advice.    Typically, when the situation is ‘grave’ we find ourselves ‘wishing ‘ we could ‘fix it’.

This feeling is all well and good, but it must be understood that it can not be taken lightly.   For sometimes the only answer is to listen.   For once words are spoken, more harm than good may come.    Therefore it is essential to come to the understanding that words are not always warranted.

I came upon a situation where two siblings, sisters, confided in me.   When they did this on separate occasions, I told them, that in no way will I take sides!   For it was apparent to me that ‘evil’ was at work.   Why?   Because the lack of forgiveness that was at the root of the situation;  I knew they could always say the , ‘he said, she said, game.’   Whereby I would find myself traumatized by being ‘pulled into’ their ‘contempt’ for each other!

The ‘first sister,’ told me her version of what occurred, and then said, ” Now I will have to give up going to Mass, won’t I?”   I said, “At no cost should you give up going to Mass. It is the most powerful prayer we have!  That would only be adding sin upon sin!”

After having talked a bit, I told her, that forgiveness is everything.   Without it, nothing matters.   It did not matter, for forgiveness was not to be!

The second sister, approached me, and confided in me as well.   I told her that ‘forgivenesss’ was absolute as well.   She also said, ‘she’s nuts, and I hate her!’   How sad!   Though  I do not have any sisters,I do have brothers, and do know the underlying dynamics of having a sibling.  I also know that sometimes we must agree to disagree!

Unfortunately, the first sister heard the second sister spoke to me, and decided she no longer wanted to have anything to do with me.   Unbelievable!   Years passed!   I called the ‘first sister and told her, I missed her, and love her, and wished her a ‘Merry Christmas’!   She was actually excited to hear from me.

Sometimes we get ourselves into situations so deep that when anger dictates our actions, it compels us to act immediately, and the end result is ‘ugly’!   Then ‘humility’ (pride) will not allow us to take the first step to amend the situation!

As this story unfolds, one can see the slow and handy work of evil within.   That is not to say the sisters are evil, but that evil takes root within all of us if we are not aware.

The Seven Deadly Sins, are ‘silent killers’!   They start simply!  The scariest of them is anger.   For me it is!   Why?   The feelings of the heart are laced to all emotions and anger is an emotion, and we can not run from it!   When we are wronged, and the heart hurts so that it feels like it is bleeding, then the anger rises to the surface.   Quietly, evil lurks into our lives.

The situation, of anger, abandonment, loneliness, and betrayal, are a part of this life.   We have a way of ‘feeling sorry’ for ourselves.   We all do it!

With reflection on the Sacred Heart of Jesus picture, there is a ‘piecing of His heart’ that is apparent.   This says to me, the lonliness, betrayal, and abandonment are what ‘cut’ into His heart.   To live as Jesus lived, is to know some of what Jesus felt, experienced, and endured!   Yet, we must always remember, He forgave all of us in the end!

It is so essential to forgive, that if it were the only thing anyone of us could remember, it would be to forgive.   Forgiveness is Jesus Christ!  He is everything, but if it must be that one had to explain His life with one word it would be ‘forgivness’!    To die for a cause that one believes in so passionately, is to say it with words ‘unspoken’!

To this day, they still do not speak, and it has been Ten years!

So I leave you with this thought.   From the Book of Paul to the Philippians  Chapter 2 verses 3-11

3)”Never act out of rivalry or conceit; rather, let all parties think humbly of others as superior to themselves,   4)each of you looking to others’ interests rather than to his own.   5)   Your attitude must be that of Christ:

6)Though he was in the form of God, he did not deem equality with God something to be grasped at.

7)Rather, he emptied himself and took the form of a slave, being born in the likeness of men.   He was known to be of human estate,

8) and it was thus that he humbled himself, obediently accepting even death on a cross!

9)Because of this, God highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name above every other name,

10)So that at Jesus’ name every knee must bend in the heavens, on the earth, and under the earth,

11)and every tongue proclaim to the glory of God the Father;   JESUS CHRIST IS LORD!”

Sibling Rivalry

When favoritism rears its ugly head, envy, jealousy, covetous, and a host of many other ‘feelings’ arise; once again anger emerges.

Unfortunately age does not eliminate the possibility of sibling rivalry.   I know people today, that are refusing to speak to their siblings because they envied them, or resented them due to their good fortune, or disagreement with a parent or another sibling.   Age does not matter!   People do not mature in character without the instruction of God within their lives.

It is most difficult to understand; but people  have the desire to feel ’empowered’.   Their attitude, “I’ll show them!   I shun them !”    Well, this is backward thinking if there ever was one!   How can any-one who is shunned feel what you are feeling?    The fact of the matter is, ‘evil starts in the mind’!    First a thought takes form and then, eventual action arises!   This is why it is so imperative to become spiritual.   For without prayer anything goes!   The excuses take form and the next thing is the ‘hate’.   Hate can grow into a poison that kills!   Both parties, will lose!  Who wins?   Satan wins!  He has taken control of your happiness.   That is who He is.

Sometimes forgiving is so far from the conscious mind that only the LORD can help us get beyond ourselves!    From being very small, and being picked on at school,  to being eliminated from the ‘high shool cliques’, to turned down for a date or passed over for that promotion at work.   All circumstances can foster ill will.    The heart is why we must forgive.   For love grows in the heart, and if the heart is hardened, the heart can not experience love.   Without love, we are not living!

God is aware of all things!   He waits to be called upon!

Book of Romans Chapter 12 verses 17-21

17)”Never repay injury with injury.   See that your conduct is honorable in the eyes of all.   18)If possible, live peaceably with everyone.   19)Beloved, do not avenge yourselves; leave that to God’s wrath, for it is written: “‘vengeance is mine; I will repay,’ says the Lord, ”   20)But “if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsy, give him something to drink; by doing this you will heap burning coals upon his head.”  21)Do not be conquered by evil but conquer evil with good.”

Jesus unwelcome:  ‘ Samaritan Inhospitality’:  Book of Luke:  Chapter 9 verses53-56

53)   …”but the Samaritans would not welcome him because he was on his way to Jerusalem.  54)When his disciples James and John saw this, they said, “Lord, would you not have us call down fire from heaven to destroy them?”   55)   He turned toward them only to reprimand them.   56)They set off for another town.”

LEARNING

If you watch the littlest child learning how to do something, you can not help to be delighted when they finally have ‘mastered’ the challange put before them.   Once having learned ‘it’ they show there new found discovery, with excitment.

When we teach our children the values of life, we have in our minds what we deem ‘most important’!  Prayer, manners, chores, and patience.

However, deep, and thought-provoking the computer may be, it can not teach a child, rear a child, or embrace a child.

For today, we see more than ever parents directing their children to ‘things’.   All these marvelous ‘things’ advanced technological toys, and computerized books, and computer games, are interesting and entertaining to a point.   Yet, who experiences fulfillment when they have been on the computer all day?   Does the ‘spirit’ not delight in the company of another?   Even children run to their parents for ‘hugs’, rather than play with that expensive toy that they recieved for Christmas!

Experiencing the love of another through devotion, and sharing of our innermost feelings can not be equated to a new modern way of thinking!

We can not improve on values!   Values are taught, applied, and mastered!   They are not memorized, but lived; daily, and with conviction.

Values are priceless.   They teach, manners, hard work ethics, spirituality, honesty, love, forgivness, nurturing, morality, chastity, kindness, thoughtfullness, and fortitude.    The instilling of values has become obsolete, and all the, ‘me, and my needs are first’!

The children only have one childhood!  When no one is home, there are no memories!   With no memories, there is no childhood.   For a child grows and draws from the memories and values instilled in his youth.   The souls of the children are crying out to be heard!   We have lost sight to the gift of life are children are, and the joy they are into our lives.

Sirach Chapter 30 verses 9-11

9)”Pamper you child and he will be a terror for you, indulge him and he will bring you grief.   10)Share not in his frivolity lest you share in his sorrow,  when finally your teeth are clenched in remorse.   11)Give him not his own way in his youth, and close not your eyes to his follies.   12)Bend him to the yoke when he is young, thrash his sides while he is small, Lest he become stubborn, disobey you, and leave you disconsolate.   13)  Discipline your son, make heavy his yoke, lest his folly humiliate you.”

MISCONCEPTIONS

When I was a small child and was told to learn the Ten Commandments, to prepare for the Sacrament of Reconciliation; I remember thinking… only tens rules, wow thats not so hard.

As I learned them and applied them to my life, even as a little girl, it was always the same that seemed to get broken.   So it is with the Ten Commandments, it isn’t that easy after all!

Then Ten Commandments, though only ten, are so profound that it astounds the mind that it was only ten simple rules that Our Heavenly Father wanted us to follow.    Yet, we find out very quickly, that they are very deep!    The all knowing, all omnipotent Father knew that ten was already going to be tough!

Yet, are they really that tough?    When we really want to be good at something, do we not apply ourselves to be the best we can be at what it is.   I know I do!   I believe most people if they desire to be pleasing to God the Almighty, will indeed apply the Ten Commandments to their lives.   If they do not, then anything goes!  Chaos reigns, and destruction takes a foot hold!

The spirit of God that resides within each of us, needs instruction.   Much like a small child needs instruction.    Without instruction and discipline the child will run wild!   Eventually all direction will be lost.

Today, it would seem most all direction is lost.   Those who realize discipline begins within, knows well, the Ten Commandments are the quality of character that life needs.

You can discipline yourself, without the Ten Commandments as the ‘force’ or foundation to your life, but your life will be ‘unstable’.     Why?   Because the Creator deems it!    Really!   He is, it is His and they are His, and we are His!    These are the facts!   Anything less is a lie!    God is!   You or I can maintain differently, but the ‘truth’ remains.   We cannot change the truth.   Though many would like to think they can.

So, if you feel unstable and direction seems rampant.   You know not which way to turn; then the Ten Commandments, are the ‘key’!   Every single day choose to strive to be ‘HOLY’!   Choosing is the beginning.   If you do this, you will find yourself closer to God!    The Father, is waiting!   His rules apply to us all.   To be pleasing to the Father, start with learning the rules to living, and life will take on a whole new dimension.

The Epistle of Paul to the EPHESIANS:   Chapter 5 verses 1-7

1)”Be imitators of God as his dear children.   2)Follow the way of love, as Christ loved you.   He gave himself for us as an offering to God, a gift of pleasing fragrance.   3)As for lewd conduct or promiscuousness, or lust of any sort, let them not even be mentioned among you; your holiness forbids this.   4)Nor should there be any obscene, silly, or suggestive talk; all that is out of place.   Instead, give thanks.   5)Make no mistake about this: no fornicator, no unclean or lustful person-in effect an idolater-has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.” 6)Let no one deceive you with worthless arguments.   These are sins that bring God’s wrath down  on the disobedient; 7)therefore have nothing to do with them.”

TEN COMMANDMENTS:

1)”I am the Lord Thy God, thou shalt not have strange gods before me.”

2)”Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain.”

3)”Remember thou keep holy the Sabbath day.”

4)”Honor thy Father and Mother.”

5)”Thou shalt not Kill.”

6)”Thou shalt not committ adultery.”

7)”Thou shalt not steal.”

8)”Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.”

9)”Thou shalt not covet thy neighbors wife.”

10)”Thou shalt not covet thy neighbors goods.”

GUILT

When the flesh and the spirit collide, there is confusion. Confusion often times brings forth anger.    For the soul that clings to the spirit, still must walk in the flesh daily.   The conflict of the two opposing forces are a battle of wills daily.

A Christ filled person can only deter the desires of the flesh through desire of the spirit over the flesh.   For the flesh is a craving that resides daily!   Whereas the spirit must be manifested through prayer, and supplication.    This is why we have ‘free will’!    For to remain in the flesh is to oppose the will of God.   God, is in all things, yet, it is He who waits for us.   His desire to teach us the ‘greater good’!    The ‘greater good,’ the trust we put in God above ourselves.   This is rising out of the ‘flesh filled’ into the ‘spirit filled’ !   For once having chosen the spirit, the journey of this life, becomes enlightened.    We then through the power of the ‘Holy Spirit’ are awakened.    Anything else is asleep within us.

The conflict of the flesh and spirit bring forth a piercing of the soul encountering the rumblings within.    So combative are these two againist each other, that the anger that arises is the unrest within.    The soul is crying out for the truth.   When the flesh desires the untruth, the spirit, crys to be heard.    The spirit, though not realized by many, is the driviing force to life.   When the life is stifled through lack of forgiveness, and ‘ill-will’ against thy neighbor, then turbulance ensues.

We can see conflict all around us.   The conflict within broken homes, broken marriages, and sibling rivary.   Wherever, the conflict is, they soul has been stifled.   For the love of Christ is the peace that crys out to be heard.    His perfect love, by a violent death, death on a cross; proves that above all cost, forgiveness is love.    For without foregivenss there is no love, where there is no love there is no life.    For to live, one must love.   For love is eternal.

A gulity conscience will then arise.   Often times a person will not consider why they feel as they do, but will only realize they feel ‘depressed’!    This is what the stifling of the spirit ensues.   Why?   Because we are all made in the image and of the love of God.   He is within us.    Yet, because free-will rears its ugly head we do not choose to realize the truth.

The combat between ‘good and evil’ is constant.   We can only achieve a fullness of life, when we choose to embrace the ‘love of God’!  Many have the misconception that the embracing of God is simply knowing He is!  Nothing could be more wrong!   God is a person!    He, who gave us life, wishes to hear from those He gave life to.   You, and I!

We by choosing God,  attain the ‘Grace of God’!

What is the grace of God?   AHH!   The Grace of God, is the experiencing of His Holy Hand moving your life with such peace and tranquility, that no matter what is happening around you, you feel and know He has you.   He, the almighty who loves us so completly, that He shared His very self with us… His beautiful Son Jesus.

So  next time the rumblings of confusion arise, and anger seems to want to overtake you, stop and reflect.   Ask yourself why?   For it is recongizing the truth, that we grow in the light of Christ.

The Epistle of Paul to the Ephesians: Chapter 5  verses 8-21

“Duty to Live in the Light”

8)There was a time when you were in darkness, but now you are light in the Lord.    Well, then, live as children of the light.   9)Light produces every kind of goodness and justice and truth.  10)Be correct in your judgment of what pleases the Lord.   11)  Take no part in vain deeds done in darkness; rather, condemn them.   12)It is shameful even to mention the things these people do in secret; 13) but when such deeds are condemned they are seen in the light of the day, and all that then appears is light  of day, and all that then appears is light .   14)That is why we read:”Awake, O sleeper, arise from the dead, and Christ will give you light.”   15)Keep careful watch over your conduct.   Do not act like fools, but like thoughtful men.   16)Make the most of the present opportunity, for these  are evil days.   17)Do not continue in ignorance, but try to discern the will of the Lord. 18)Avoid getting drunk on wine;  that leads to debauchery.    Be filled with the Spirit, 19) addressing one another in psalms and hymns and inspired songs.   Sing praise to the Lord with all your hearts.  20)   Give thanks to God the Father always and for everything in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.   21) Defer to one another out of reverence for Christ.

SEARCHING

It seemed I prayed for years!   Always believeing!   Then one day I said, “Lord where are you? I have looked for you and I can not find you!”   Then He said, “Here I am!   Search no more, for you have found me!”    So blessed was I that the tears began to fall; then I knew that nothing would ever be the same!

As in the parble of the pearl; he who found the lost treasure sold everything, so it is!

So I say to you-do not give up!   For He is everything!  His worth is beyond compare, nothing will ever measure up to His great love.

Book of Matthew Chapter 13 verses 44-46   Jesus Speaks:   THE TREASURE AND THE PEARL

44) “The reign of God is like a buried treasure which a man found in field.   He hid it again, and rejoicing  at his find went and sold all he had and bought that field.   45) Or again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant’s search for the fine pearls.   46)When he found one really valuable pearl, he went back and put up for sale all that he had and bought it.”
