DENIAL

Every day we meet all sorts of people.   Some leave us wondering.   Maybe even we are one of those ourselves.    Yet, it is cause for reflection.

Recently I was shopping in Costco.   I started a conversation with the man in front of me.   As the conversation progressed, we sat down and drank our drinks.   He having noticed the cross on my neck commented on the fact that I am Catholic.   Since it is a tridentine cross, he assumed as much.     Whereby he started to comment on the church and how it has changed.    I told him the center of the church remains: Jesus Christ is the heart of the Mass!

After that remark He went on to say, He was not familiar or in agreement with the changes.   Whereby I told him where the ‘low Mass’ is available ( Latin Mass).   He was speechless and had no more excuses to not return to the Mass.    I went on to explain Jesus is in the sacrament of the Holy Eucharist and regardless of which Mass, the LORD is still present.

Whether or not the man returns to his faith, I do not know.   However, people have excuses, and denial is there president.    They are unaware of evils impact upon them.

Evil is within any and all circumstances.  Evil has no favorites, but delights in confusing and convincing any and all against God.

If God is not first and the center to our life, then God will be ignored!   For sure and for certain.    For He should be more important than rising to go to work in the morning.   For God is the reason we have life in the first place.

His glory and His Praise should fill our days.

Book of John: Chapter 12 verses: 47-50 Jesus Speaks:

47 ” If anyone hears my words and does not keep them, I am not the one to condemn him, for I did not come to condemn the world but to save it.   48  Whoever rejects me and does not accept my words already has his judge, namely, the word I have spoken- it is that which will condemn him on the last day.   49 For I have not spoken on my own; no, the Father who sent me has commanded me what to say and how to speak.   50 Since I know that his commandment means eternal life, whatever I say is spoken just as he instructed me.”
