Step By Step

When starting out with anything, the first step is the most difficult!   As it is with a baby, it starts with the milk, then when  trying to crawl, or desiring to walk, hesitation is present.    So it is with us.

When Jesus talks of starting out, in the Christian life, he speaks of children and milk;  meaning  He teaches us  slowly.   This is because we are not ready.   We can not consume what we are not prepared for.

To come to the fullness of Christianity, is to start with the milk, and take it frequently.   The milk being the words of Christ.    The teachings of Christ.   The way, is then revealed slowly, and by trial and error.   For just as a child falls when learning to crawl and walk, so will a baby christian fall, and stumble.   Yet, Christ the teacher, is there, holding out His hand and instructing.

To give up is not an option.   For to give up is to give up on life.   Christ is ‘eternal life.’    Without Him there is no life.    It is empty.

When Christ and His teaching are ‘grabbed unto’; like a child holding unto the hand of a Father, so it is with us and our learning from Jesus.   Holding on, and trusting is everything.   Just as it is difficult when we first try anything anew, so it is in learning the faith.   Desire is absolute.   Without desire it will never come to fruition.   Desire is everything.

In His teachings, the LORD always uses examples.  Parables are His way.   When reading His words and His teachings the heart must be open to the spirit.   The Holy Spirit, is God’s gift to us through His Son Jesus Christ.   The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, making up the true essence of God the Father.

The Teacher, Jesus Christ, is the patient one.   He never tires of us trying to learn from Him, but welcomes it.   Is delighted by it.   For He is pure love, and it is our friendship that He desires.

There are no words that can be written here to enlighten the mind.

The words are in the Holy Bible.   Jesus words!   His not mine.    Discover it for yourself, and open the Holy Bible and find the living waters that Christ speaks of.   It will guide you into a deeper understanding of life, its purpose, and its mystery.

Book of First Peter Chapter 2 verses 1-5    Growth of Holiness

1) ” So strip away everything vicious, everything deceitful; pretenses, jealousies, and disparaging remarks of any kind.   2) Be as eager for milk as newborn babies-pure milk of the spirit to make you grow  unto salvation, 3) now that you have tasted that  the Lord is good.   4) Come to him, a living stone, rejected by men but approved, nonetheless, and precious in God’s eyes.”

Book of Revelation: Chapter 7Verse 13-17

13) “Then one of the elders asked me, “Who are these people all dressed in white?   And where have they come from?”   14) I said to him, “Sir, you should know better than I.”   He then told me, “These are the ones who have survived the great period of trial; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.   15) ” It was this that brought them before God’s throne:   day and night they minister to him in his temple; he who sits on the throne will give them shelter.   16)   Never again shall they know hunger or thirst, nor shall the sun or its heat beat down on them. 17) for the Lamb on the throne will shepherd them.   He will lead them to springs of life-giving water, and God will wipe every tear from their eyes.”

Jesus Speaks: Chapter 28 verses 18-20 Book of Matthew

18) “Jesus came forward and addressed them in these words:

Full authority ahs been given to me both in heaven and on earth; 19) go, therefore, and make disciples of all the nations.   Baptize in the ‘of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.’   20) Teach them to carry out everything I have commanded you.   And know that I am with you always, until the end of the world!”
