When we find ourselves alone, we often find ourselves waiting. Usually for someone, but occasionally something! Anything from the check in the mail, to hearing about a job offer, to the results from the doctor!
Yet, life is indeed a waiting game! We are offered numerous opportunities to stop and reflect. Typically, it is about what has to be done before the close of day! The stress of life. We often find ourselves ‘inflicted by someone Else’s stress.’ You know what I mean-the tension they exude toward you or I because they are in the middle of something.
Unfortunately, we build a wall around ourselves when we do this; We close out the spirit we encounter, and extend ‘ill-will’! Then our love of neighbor is lost and this contributes to other offenses.
The journey we are on is not for ourselves but rather a life-long test given by Our Heavenly Father to each of His children! It is similar to a Father that we face at the end of the day. He address us and says, ‘Did you get your chores done today?’ When one knows he/she must face their ‘Dad’ with an explanation as to what was done, then determination to task is likely.
Why? Most all of us will consider ‘Dad’ the disciplinarian within the home! So it is with Our Heavenly Father! It is His rules that must be met. We all know that when something is not accomplished, we face Father’s wrath! Depending on the offense and the number of offenses the Father typically considers, then decides whether ‘admonishment is warranted!
So it is with God Our Father. For God has given us a prelude to heaven here on earth. Really! We can listen to the words given by Our Lord Jesus Christ, and Know it is true!
…’On earth as it is in Heaven’. Preparation friends! God Our Father is indeed preparing us for heaven! We have so much time to achieve the ‘task’ assigned to us! To each of us He has extended duties. They vary for each of us according to the ‘gifts’ He has given us. Along with these marvelous gifts, He has given us a ‘cross’ to carry. Yes, He has, and Jesus is the anchor. His cross was first. His cross was and is for us. So, the Father of us all, has sent His Only Son to lead us, free us, and teach us the way. This perfect example is for the choosing. You can do it alone, or learn from another. That is the bottom line.
So if you are so arrogant that you figure you can do it alone; that is your right. However, remember this: ‘you have only so much time to get it right’! The Son of God is the teacher.
His instruction, which encompasses every aspect to living, from being a farmer, to caring for the sick, to healing the ‘broken hearted’ through prayer, as a Priest or Pastor, to parenting a child, and teaching them their studies. God took care of it all!
Finding your way to Jesus is finding your way to the Heavenly Father’s grace. For His favor is what we all want, is it not? Does it not please each of us to know that our Father is pleased and so has rewarded us with unforeseen and unexpected blessings. So as a Father has loved us, so has Our Heavenly Father loved us.
Go with God. Keep His commandments! Let the Son show you the way! You will find the grace and peace that surpasses all understanding!
Book of John Chapter 15: verses 9-12 Jesus Speaks
9 )”As the Father has loved me, so I have loved you. Live on in my Love. 10)You will live in my love if you keep my commandments, even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and live in his love.11) All this I tell you that my joy may be yours and your joy may be complete. 12)This is my commandment: love one another as I have loved you.”
