One of the greatest compliments one can give another, is to choose to bare their soul!
Having chosen to confide, and reveal what peirces their heart is perhaps the greatest compliment one can recieve, for he has been twice blessed!. For both, God and his friend has chosen to ‘trust’ him.
In trusting we have revealed our innermost self, believeing that ‘judgment will not be the factor but understanding and compassion the driving force.
When confronted with having to share, or needing to share, we do indeed bare our souls. Humility presents itself and the soul aches.
I have been ‘blessed’ on occassion to have people confide in me. I consider it a blessing that they would choose me when they could have chosen anyone of their ‘friends’. I sometimes have no answers but am so saddened that I find myself speechless. Later I find myself reflecting and hurting for the person who confided in me. It is then that I take time to pray for this person. For if there are no answers and the hurt from another is infused into our very being then compassion has prompted us to love our neighbor. I know prayer is so powerful that if an answer is not given, and can not be found then prayer to our most Heavenly Father is our greatest gift to another.
So if you are so blessed as to have someone love you so much that they bare their soul to you, consider yourself twice blessed, for God has found favor with you, and so has your friend.
On separate occassions I have had friends tell me that their husbands had affairs and that the betrayal was and still is effective to this day.
Ironically, I met the ‘other woman’. I could not believe it, but I had someone confide in me that she was the other woman in a relationship. Being married myself, I was rendered speechless. Knowing we all make bad judgments, I did not say anything, for I could sense she felt ‘guilty’.
At another time I had a woman tell me she has had ‘three’ abortions! I still shudder to think about how I felt when she told me this. All I could say was, ‘Why would you?’
Life is very complex, the situations and events that happen from day to day are by no means boring. It is the evil in the world that wishes to confuse and betray the children of God. When we realise that evil is opposing to God who is good and loving, we rise up to a higher standard of living. Spirituality presents itself and the God who gives us life enlightens us with His most Holy Spirit. Without it, we believe anything goes!
On another occassion I had a friend tell me they were declaring bankrupcy. Her concern was not doing without, but Her husbands state of mind was fragile. All he ever wanted was to be successful, and now upon the retirement years is losing everything! He has closed the world and her out.
The world does not love, but hates! It offors love only when God is first! For when God is first in all things the ‘truth’ is revealed and all things come to light!
People make the mistake of believing the world cares, the world wants to ‘know them’! This is a grave mistake. For often people committ suicide when the are ‘betrayed’ by the world.
The Third Epistle of John: verse 11
11)”Beloved, do not imitate what is evil but what is good. Whoever does what is good belongs to God; whoever does what is evil has never seen God.”
The Second Epistle of Peter: Chapter 1 verses 3-7
3″That divine power of his has freely bestowed on us everything necessary for a life of genuine piety, through knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and power. 4)By virtue of them he has betowed on us the great and precious things he promised, so that through these you who have fled a world corrupted by lust might become sharers of the divine nature. 5) This is reason enough for you to make every effort to undergird your virtue with faith, your discernment with virtue, 6) and your self-control with discernment; this self-control, in turn , should lead to perseverance, and perseverance to piety, 7)and piety to care for your brother, and care for your brother, to love.”
