HEART TO HEART

When its heartfelt, what is it?   Does it take on greater meaning when someone says its ‘heartfelt’?

The state of our hearts are in conflict with each other from time to time.    That is why we quarrel and argue.  Issues ensue derission, and anger rises, and dissention begins.   It unfolds quickly and all parties walk away bitter, and unhappy!  Disillusioned to say the least!

What happened?   Seems to be the question of the day!  Trouble here is that when this occurs, it lingers!!   No one is willing to amend the situation.   It can hang out there for years!   Remember the story of the “Hatfields and the McCoys?”   Or how about “Romeo, and Juliet?”   Division was the driving force in the outcome here.

The heart is so deep that it encompasses our passions, our loves, our minds, our health!      We love because of our hearts.   We do, because our spirits collide!   A soul-mate.  However, people change and the spirit that resides within is govened by the heart too.   We can not separate the two until we die!   God’s infinite wisdom did this!   We must prove our love to Him!!  He proved His love to us!  Now it is our turn.

Today, we see and hear so much unrest we can not help to be astonished!   People killing families, people killing babies, people killing, killing, killing!   Why?   God is present and waits for each beating heart!   We must call upon Him!   Jesus Christ is God incarnate!   A relationship with Him is to know the love of the Father!

Seek Him out and you will find Him!   God will lead you to what you need! It all goes back to God!   He started this, and His design will not fail!

To understand what a force we are in each others lives is not for us to know, but to take on faith!

Recently I was watching ‘old movies’!  One was, “Life with Father”. It was about a Father that mentioned in the course of a conversation that He had never been baptized!   The wife does not rest until the husband is baptized.   Writtein in 1947, but set in 1888, it shows the value of living with morality.   Family was the heart of the movie, the role Father has in a family, and everyones concern for Fathers soul.   A different time to say the least.   Somewhere we have lost focus down here.   God has been put on a back burner!

Pollyanna was another lovely movie.   The child ‘Pollyanna’ was an orphan, who’s father was a preacher,  that died suddenly, leaving Pollyanna to be adopted   by her, wealthy, bitter, spinster aunt.   Through a series of events the little girl ‘enriches’ the town with the knowledge of the ‘love of God’.   Set in the 1920’s the movie shows what a differnce we all make, even a little child!

Another wonderful movie that depicts very well the force we are in each others life is: “It’s A Wonderful Life”!  A marvelous movie with James Stewart and Donna Reed!  Again it shows the state of the heart and what happens when we lose heart!  James Stewart after almost losing soul asks God to help!  A perfect example of loving and being loved is everything!   God, is in His wisdom showing all of us, through the actions of those who depict these movies, the magnanimous force we are to each other.   For sometimes a kind word, or a lovely deed is the greatest gift of all.    ‘Love One another as I have loved You!’

The state of the heart must be nourished!  Jesus is the nourishment the heart mind and soul need.

Jesus needs to hear from you, just as he desired I tell you, who you are makes a difference!

Years ago, when my children were in High School, my daughter came home and put a ‘purple ribbon’ on me.   It said, “Who you are makes a differnce”!  She then said, “Mom, I want you to know, Who you are makes a differnce to me!”  I was so very touched, because the teen years are not easy years.   It is not a ‘cake  walk any time, but the teen years have all their own challenges.

She told me to pass it on!  So, I did!   With that experience came a story.   It seems there was a executive Father that was a ‘hard driving force’ at work.   One day, his secretary pinned this ribbon on him,  and said the same words, Erin said to me.

The executive, came home and pinned the purple ribbon on his teen age son and told him, he knew he never said it enough, but he loved him and who he was made a diffence in his life.  The son sat down and wept!   The Father, surprised and astounded, asked what’s wrong?    The son then told his Dad he was going to kill himself that night, because he thought no one cared!

The beauty of loving, the heart to heart of living is what Jesus was getting at!  Love! The love of a Father who loves His children He gave His Only Son for the Salvation of the whole world!  Won’t you try on this love?   This incredible journey we are all on is for the sake of our souls.   The love of a God so great He has seen to it you know He loves you!

WHO YOU ARE MAKES A DIFFERNCE TO ME, AND EVERYONE YOU MEET!  GOD BLESS YOU!  MERRY CHRISTMAS!

The Great Commandment: Mark Chapter 12 verses 30-31

30)”Therefore, you shall love tha Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.

31)This is the second, ‘you shall love your neighbor as yourself’.   There is no other commandment greater than these.”
