The life we live is filled with concerns. They are so numerous for all of us that it is easy to ignore the truth to living. The living truth through the word of God is imperative to a fruitful harvest. The harvest being the souls preparation for the kingom of
God. To many can not be bothered. They are the distracted. The tools of Satan are distractions. He has many ‘tools’ yet the high tech era we live in, is in and of itself the anchor to become victorious over God. Yet, God does win in the end. The victorious will be those that stand with Christ through the struggles of this life. The struggles being temptations that are in our daily path of life. The seven deadly sins are: Lust, Greed, Pride, Envy, Sloth, Gluttony, Anger. These sins are the ‘cornerstone’ to Satans desire for our souls. Though technology is not a sin, the waste of time is a sin. The problem here is that it steals the spirit of the living. When we are texting or facebooking or e-mailing, i-poding, wii-ing, and note-pading, we are about ourselves and the exalting of ourselves to others. The spirit of the sender and recievers are not experienced, but rather lost in the cyber-space world. You say it is doubtful?! I say it is absolute! The compassion of thy fellow man is eliminated, due to the lack of experiencing emotion. If this were not so, would people not be cold and calus as they are today. Where do you find the social skills that were once instituted? The “Please and Thank-you’s the You are Welcome. Even the extending of an invitation is done over the internet today. The Lord wants an e-mail?! I doubt it! Everything has its place. As with most anything, to much and problems arise. In all this my point is to consider your time and your life. How much of your time and life is teching? I had a young man tell me his friend is so into the war-games he does not even date. He is so mezmerized by the battle and conflict he becomes involved in. In Life We are Only allowed so much time. How we spend it is our choice. Be very careful that you do not throw it away in cyber-space. It is easy to become an object rather than and identity.
From the point of the ‘black box til now, distractions have been a constant threat to deterring us from the love of God. It is written to pray ‘without ceasing’. In other words, if you are to busy with ‘black box’ toys and the flesh filled desires, and the desires of your own heart, then there will be need for self-examination.
